  • I try and keep out of photos here because I want the focus to be the delicious food I make 😅

BUT even when I was at uni doing patisserie class with Chef Sandy, my bread was always awful. Bread for some reason has always been a challenge for me and thus I have only ever truly made about 2 good loaves in my life before today.

Today's loaf is a wholemeal sunflower and flax seed beauty with some oats and salt flakes on top for decoration. 
My house smells like bread too! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

  • Rezept ur Pestoblume:

Zutaten:
600 g Mehl, 1 Würfel Hefe, 2 TL Salz, 1/2 TL Zucker, 2 Gläser Pesto, 50 ml Öl, 300 ml lauwarmes Wasser

Zubereitung:
Die Hefe zerbröselt in einem Teil des Wassers geben. Das restliche Wasser mit dem Salz, Zucker, Öl, dem Hefewasser und dem Mehl verkneten und 30 Minuten gehen lassen. Den Teig in drei Stücke teilen und z.B. mithilfe eines Kuchenringes rund ausrollen. Auf den ersten Teig Pesto verteilen, dann den zweiten Teig auflegen und wieder Pesto, hier auch z.B.  eine andere Farbe, verteilen. Den letzten Teig auflegen und ein Glas in die Mitte stellen. Den Teig nun 16x einschneiden. Dafür erst vierteln und diese dann wieder vierteln. Nun immer zwei Streifen nehmen und zwei mal nach außen drehen und dan die Spitzen verbinden, damit die Blumenform entsteht. Den Teig für ca 20 Minuten in den auf 180-200 C° Ober/-Unterhitze vorgeheizten Ofen geben.

  • Not the best pic but yummy and simple vegan rhubarb cake:
500g rhubarb, peeled and chopped
300g flour (I used 50g tigernut, 250g spelt)
160g vegan butter
150g sugar (I used erythritol, which makes it less sweet)
12g baking powder
250ml plant milk
pinch of salt
vanilla, cinnamon and cardamom to taste (the cardamom really elevates the flavour!)
Cream butter and sugar, add all dry ingredients and milk and stir until just combined. Fold in rhubarb. Fill into a greased 24cm springform tin and bake at 170C for 50-55mins, until a wooden skewer comes out clean. I topped mine with some vanilla sugar before baking.
Juicy, moist and crumbly cake, perfect for spring😊

To make 👉🏻 1/4 cup oat milk, 1/4 tsp cinnamon, 1/2 tsp vanilla, 1 tsp maple. Dip two pieces of somewhat dry sourdough in. Fry them off and top them with your favourites. Got a head start on my day and going to enjoy the sunny day 🌞

  • Going to a little birthday party of one of my new neighbour friends tonight and it’s a take something and share kind of thing. So I’m taking some pb & choc chunk cookies because they went down so well last time. ☺️🍪

Once again, these are different because I’m just experimenting with my own recipes and it’s all trial and error. And I had to use self raising flour as I ran out of plain so they’re not quite how they usually are. Used @nomochocolate ‘creamy’ chocolate. 😊

As always my classes are all about giving you the knowledge about the ingredients to allow you to go back home and feel confident to experiment!
