En menos de una semana ya cumple 1 mes 😩 Está creciendo DEMASIADO rápido y estás semanas se pasaron volando! A los días de nacida ya mostraba su personalidad y aunque es una hermosura de bebé se viene bastante rebelde 😅.
.
Todavía no caigo en que soy “mamá” pero todo el proceso de “maternidad” lo siento súper natural, como si fuera mi quinto bebé 😂. Gaia duerme de a periodos de 2 a 3 1/2 hs, aunque hay veces que si la dejáramos más, dormiría más. Y yo duermo 6-9 hs por día, cortado obviamente. De día también se tira unas dos o tres siestitas, así que hasta ahora puedo cocinar tranquila, tomarme el tiempo para bañarme, maquillarme y hasta pintarme las uñas 🤣.

En cuanto a lactancia, sé que varias me preguntaron sobre cómo aumentar la producción de leche y la verdad es que no lo estudié, así que si les dijera algo sería de internet. Yo no tuve ningún problema, tengo que amamantar con servilletas al lado 😅 y Gaia si tiene hambre te come hasta las sábanas (real 😂). Viene tomando a libre demanda, cada 2 1/2-3 hs de noche y de día cada 1-3 hs. A las dos semanas ya estaba por arriba del peso con el que había nacido, así que viene creciendo súper bien 💕💕

Y ese fue todo el update del primer mes 🌈 Ya quedan pocos semanas y volvemos a argentina por un tiempito 🙌🏼❤️ Si quieren saber alguna otra cosa, háganmela saber 🙏🏼

  • LONG STORY TIME, Part 2 of  4✨The persistent baby-foot-grabbing got me thinking about the ways babies were raised throughout the ages - the way back in the days it wasnt just ‘your baby’. You see the reason why its so hard, the postpartum period - is that you were never meant to do it alone. The only way humans survived this long on the planet is thro our ability to live in tribes. When a baby would be born, he would be taken care of by all the women in the tribe giving the mother a chance to rest and recover. Moreover, he would be breastfed by the mother, the grandmothers (!), the sister, the best friend of the mum and the rest of the tribe. (What an ingenious way to get varied nutrition and max out the newborns microbiome by having him feed from all the possible sources!) Its only relatively recently that the babies are exclusively fed by the mom, I mean we still have the language for it - what else is a ‘wet nurse’ after all - but we’ve forgotten the practice. ✨ For survival purposes, living in a tribe was crucial, however, it came at a cost - there was no space for individuality. To be part of the tribe you had to obey the rules of the tribe, eat like the rest of the tribe and take on the tasks that were assigned to you thro the simple assumption that you are going to follow in the footsteps of your parents: if your dad was a carpenter, you were expected to take over the his workshop. Its only in the recent centuries that humans have managed to survive on their own in two-parent on even one-parent households. As a result we are raised with no information of how to take care of a young child. Example: me and Chippy having grown up without younger siblings without any babysitting practice, with Leo we had to learn everything from scratch. And I know we are not the only ones! In modern society you only get to hold a newborn once your friend/cousin has one, and only then for a few minutes because as soon as the baby starts crying you hand it back to the Mum with panic in your eyes saying ‘I think he might be hungry…’ And then one day you find yourself in the shoes of that Mum having to figure it all out… (to be continued tomorrow…)

The body which is given mostly organic produce without the deadly pesticides, whole plant foods that are alive, legumes, natural sugars like fresh fruits and seasonal foods, healthy nourishing fats like avocado, nuts, seeds and coconut along with fresh clean water is a body that will thank you. A garden full of blossoms and wonder and delights. A garden where the best things grow and the worst aren’t even given a chance because toxins are flushed and discarded by clean vitamins and minerals

Dus ook als je zwanger bent, borstvoeding geeft, 2 of 82 jaar oud bent

Ik kan alleen maar naar dit heerlijke ventje kijken en tot de conclusie komen dat hij groeit, ontwikkeld, nagenoeg nooit ziek is, geen overgewicht heeft, geen allergieën heeft en (bijna) alles eet (het blijft een peuter he😜)

  • Durante estos meses, definitivamente he identificado algunos #esenciales o #musthaves que he tenido durante mis meses con la barriguita 🤰🏻

1. Agua con hielo 🤷🏻‍♀️ (mucho hielo): siempre he sido de tomar agua, sin embargo durante mi embarazo la ingesta de agua se ha elevado un montón. PERO por favor  agua con hielo 💁🏻‍♀️ así este haciendo frío, debo tomar agua muy fría es como una necesidad. Así que definitivamente el hielo se convertido en un #must bebidas temperatura ambiente me revuelven el estómago 🤔

2. Un vaso térmico grande! Esta va mano a mano con el punto 1 y es que ando con una botella / vaso de aproximadamente 32 oz como si fuese un arete 😂 tomando líquido a cada segundo •

3. Almohada cómoda! #pregnancypillow De verdad no se que fuese de mis noches sin esta almohada; es enorme y la forma como una herradura pero es la única forma en la que pueda dormir “cómoda” 🤰🏻 #babybump •

4. Cremas y aceites: si, debemos mantenernos súper hidratadas durante esta etapa, desde el mes 1 me coloco buena cantidad de crema y aceites en la pancita y en ciertas zonas que considero que debo conociendo mi cuerpo 😉

5. Ropa cómoda, con esto me refiero a ropa con la que nos sintamos a gusto, no muy pegada/ ajustada pero cómoda ☺️ en mi caso un par de pantalones y un leggin han sido mi “gran” adición de ropa durante este tiempo. Pero me han ayudado un montón en el proceso de crecimiento de la pancita 🤰🏻☺️

6. Prenatales: vitaminas para hacer que tu embarazo fluya mejor y tú estés más tranquila que cumples con tus vitaminas. Normalmente estas cumplen con todas las vitaminas que tú y tu bebé necesitan durante su desarrollo 😍 .

    5. Ropa cómoda, con esto me refiero a ropa con la que nos sintamos a gusto, no muy pegada/ ajustada pero cómoda ☺️ en mi caso un par de pantalones y un leggin han sido mi “gran” adición de ropa durante este tiempo. Pero me han ayudado un montón en el proceso de crecimiento de la pancita 🤰🏻☺️


    6. Prenatales: vitaminas para hacer que tu embarazo fluya mejor y tú estés más tranquila que cumples con tus vitaminas. Normalmente estas cumplen con todas las vitaminas que tú y tu bebé necesitan durante su desarrollo 😍 .

  • Přeju krásný nedělní večer ❤ my dneska jedeme na celkem zdravé vlně, protože přes všechno zařizování a starosti na zdravé jídlo celkem 💩 no a to není úplně dobrý ani pro tělo a ve finále ani pro naši psychiku. you watched what i saw, and so i dedicated time to seeing beautiful things.

you ate what i ate, and so my meals became more nutritional and enjoyable

  • We’re ready when you are, Peanut!

The car seat base is installed, our hospital bags are packed, Saffy’s bag is already at my parents house... so now we wait.

I was trying to pack fairly minimally since we hopefully won’t be in the hospital too long. The teal bag on the left has my laptop, camera, two outfits for the baby, two swaddling blankets, four white cloth diapers that I think will look really sweet for hospital photos, and four small wet bags to store used diapers before we wash them at home.

The polka dot bag has all of my clothes and toiletries. And the tote bag has all of the cloth diapers we’re bringing with us, minus the four that are in the teal bag. I think I fit 27 in there!

Can’t believe I have less than 7 weeks until my due date.

Baby is weighing in at 4lb. My back aches and clicks, I walk so slow, I wee a lot, the baby kicks or punches me in the puss all the time, I’m very tired, I’m hardcore nesting and next week I’m 31 😬

  • I have been vegan for almost 5 years, but I haven't always been the healthiest vegan! When I first found veganism, high carb, fruit-based diets were all the rage. I thought that was the only way to be vegan. I didn't eat enough calories or protein or healthy fats to keep me satiated, which led to late night binging on peanut butter and feeling really guilty about it the next day (sorry for treating you like that pb). What I thought was the perfect diet was taking a major toll on my energy levels and mental health. Through research and a lot of learning the hard way, I started to balance out my diet, but I was still majorly skimping on important nutritional needs. It wasn't until I got pregnant that I really decided I had to make nutrition a priority. It wasn't just my own health on the line anymore!

While I used to obsess about avoiding junky, processed foods, I now focus more on eating a wide variety of healthy, plant-based foods and meeting my daily nutritional needs, while allowing a little extra bread, dark chocolate, or the occasional vegan ice cream.

I'm definitely no expert, but what I've learned in the past few years is that while veganism can be so incredibly healthy, it's not the easy way out! Our bodies NEED proper fuel and it takes a little bit of effort to ensure you're meeting your nutritional needs. Cutting out an entire macronutrient (carbs, fat, or protein) is not sustainable long term! Our bodies were meant to consume a wide variety of foods and ALL of these macronutrients. So thank you to my son for motivating me to take care of myself! Only wish I did it earlier! 
P.S. I sometimes use cronometer or Dr. Greger's Daily Dozen app to make sure I am getting all the nutrients I need. It's so satisfying to see 100% of my nutritional needs being met from plants!!

  • Definitiv das letzte Familienfoto zu viert, so viel steht fest!!🤗 Wir haben gerade nochmal eine ordentliche 7km Waldtour über Stock und Stein unternommen.🌲🐿🍄 Ich kann leider nach wie vor nur müde lächeln, wenn Menschen mir raten viel Spazieren zu gehen und Treppen zu laufen. Unseren Wurm beeindruckt das null, aber vielleicht macht sie heute ja mal eine Ausnahme...🙏🏼 #ssw41 #maibaby2019

  • In heaven 🧡 baby Z loves the sunshine, just like when he was in mama’s belly. And look at those long legs! The last two days he’s already been learning to push off of things; his little legs growing so strong! He is the sweetest little baby, spending so little time crying but has several awake periods throughout the day where he looks around so curious and hangs with mom and dad. I seriously might eat his little feet and toes, they’re so cute! 🦶🏻
