Going to miss my little rooftop oasis this winter! The runner beans, cucamelons and courgettes are done, and I'll crack on with sewing some hardy winter veg such as spinach and chard, to fill the gaps!

Esta es mi compra semanal, por lo esto será parte de lo que comeré esta semana. Aspecto importante: que la base de nuestra alimentacion sean vegetales y fruta 🍍🍌🍋🥒🥕🌶 frescos y de temporada, además de otros alimentos de buena composición nutricional 🧐

Ciruelas, tomates cherry, lechuga, soja texturizada, espaguetis integrales, mozzarella fresca, salmón ahumado, perejil fresco, piña, berenjena, calabaza, tomate natural, huevos ecológicos, plátanos, puerros, calabacín, limón, melocotón, pimientos de colores, kiwi, cebolla, zanahoria, pepino, tomate y aguacate.

  • Eating Veggies .

Vegetables are extremely low in calories and high in fibre . They give us vitamins , minerals and lots of antioxidants . We can have them raw , cooked , steamed, boiled or as salads. .

My salad has cucumber , carrots , tomatoes , lettuce , spring onion with some beans . I drizzled some olive oil, salt pepper and put a little bit of Nando’s sauce which was lying in my cupboard for a while .

  • Just when you thought they couldn’t come up with any more varieties of tomato, here comes the STRAWMATO! Looks like a strawberry but with all the flavour of a vine ripened tomato.   • Roast Veggies 🍠🥦🥕
This hardly needs a recipe it’s so easy. Chopped veggies, drizzled with olive oil and sprinkled with your favourite spices. 
This used cumin, smoked paprika and some garlic flakes. Then roast in the oven for 20-30 minutes.
Serve as is or stir through some spinach & chickpeas. 🥗

⭐️ Why eat your veggies?
- Source of fibre to maintain gut health and keep your digestive system regular. -Vitamins and minerals (too many too list here!) to help our bodies function. -Phytonutrients (plant nutrients) can act as antioxidants to help prevent damage to the cells in our body & promote healthy aging.

⭐️ How many? -It is recommended to have 5-6 serves per day depending on your age & gender. -A serve is 1/2 cup cooked or 1 cup of salad vegetables.
- I like to fill half my plate with veggies and leave the rest for protein and grains.

⭐️ The best way to eat your veggies is to include lots of variety, including different types, both raw and cooked. This has been shown to reduce the risk of heart disease, type 2 diabetes and some cancers.

⭐️ Switch it up by adding some of these to your meal next time:
-Beetroot
-Sweet potato
-Cauliflower -Brussel Sprouts
-Eggplant -Carrot
-Asparagus

In fact it’s the total opposite , eat right and you won’t have to train as hard to lose weight , but if you want to maximise your true potential from your physical body you have to eat good ! Fruits and vegetables all day everyday ! Food has now even been linked to curing cancer and other such diseases ! Eat well live well , just do it ✌️❤️
