Recipe: 3 cups fresh basil leaves
2-3 cloves garlic
1/4 cup hemp seeds
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 tsp sea salt
Nutritional yeast, optional
8 oz. your favorite pasta, such as fusilli (pictured)
Place all ingredients in a food processor or high-speed blender, and process until smooth. Serve with your favorite pasta, a plate of roasted veggies, or an open-faced sandwich!
*Adjust the amount of garlic you use according to your taste buds.
**You may add a few tablespoons of nutritional yeast to the pesto if you desire a cheesy flavor, or simply sprinkle some on top of your meal before eating!

Two days ago my mom and I went to the store to get her a new phone, and the salesman kept trying to sell me a new one as well📱Unfortunately for him I’m hard to convince 👵🏻, but what frustates me most is this idea that people are chasing of always having to have the latest and best edition. For real though, it’s a game you can’t win. It’s a waste of energy, money, and of course environmental resources🌍 So next time you are considering buying something, ask yourself :" Do I truly need this?", because I can promise you that 9/10 times the answer is no🌿

Soaking is the 6 ..romaine lettuce stalks, and two bags of spinach! We haven’t even made our way to Costco for some more blueberries and strawberries. 😳
I didn’t realize just how much salad was going to be in the fridge..I knew I planned on eating a lot because the more green, the more energy. 🌱 I really am not a huge salad eater but I crave it sometimes. This time though I over estimated how much I needed! 🤣 That’s okay Lexi watched me the whole time cut up all that lettuce and spinach and she was waiting for any piece to fall at any time. She’s a strange one! That dog loves spinach..even cooked. 🤢
I plan on juicing a lot of it. It’s easier to drink than eat it. 🥗
We honestly don’t go over our budget with produce either. It’s only expensive if your buying it as extra items. We don’t buy chips, and a bunch of snack foods. Chips we buy every now and then but not the normals ones. More of a healthier types of chips if any.
Now I eat healthy but...that does NOT mean I cut out chocolate! 🍫 😂 I eat dark chocolate usually. Also I’ve made some with cacao before which is really good.
If I want junk food I usually make it from scratch like cake and things. But not that often. I stay busy eating all the fruit and veggies but you can tell when it’s time to go buy more because I end up eating the most junk food we own and I don’t eat anything else...Usually chocolate. 🍫
I had the absolute best time helping create this charcuterie table for a birthday party this week. All the boards fit together like puzzel pieces, with bowls to fill in the empty spots. The best part though was the lingering conversation that happened as people gathered around holding plates, tasting a little more of this or that. Charcuterie tables are easy to conform to any eating style, and always have sonething for everyone. You can skip the cheese for whole30, or you can choose sheep or goat milk. Choose gluten free crackers, plantain chips, sourdough, or skip the carbs all together. No matter what you pick, as long as there is a good variety, it will be beautiful!
