I absolutely love watching the mist in the trees, but it seems a little early this year. Definitely not the September I had in mind, kinda feels like Halloween is around the corner! 👻

Are you a night owl like me or a morning person? 🌙 I always come alive at night. Maybe it’s the city lights that ignites my soul or knowing it’s when all the lovers awaken... 🔥 #nightowl#Romantic#beautiful#Vancouver 💗
It’s been a while since I posted a “twinning with my beer” photo! This one’s got twinning written all over it! I’m hoping that all these car related items will give me positive vibes and help me pass my ‘L’ test and FINALLY, at the age of 33 (or hopefully sometime in my 30s) learn how to drive!
I went for my L test sometime before I turned 20, and failed, and didn’t feel like trying again, until my 29th birthday! I passed (and I had only read the first two pages of the book)! However, I was super unhappy about the way I felt “tricked” by the test! There was one question that I was asked twice. The answer options were all the same but just in a different order. Why would they ask the same question, I thought. I stared at the question long and hard, making sure I had paid attention to every detail of the question to see if it was, in fact, the same question, or if they changed one word or a punctuation mark or something else which would then mean an entirely different answer. I’m already a huge overthinker and being in this situation was not pleasant. I ended up getting the question right, but it made for an unpleasant testing experience (although, is taking a test ever pleasant??)
Fast forward to five months later and I hadn’t even gotten behind the wheel! Hubby gifted me a gift certificate for driving lessons at a local driving school for Christmas (he had watched his dad teach his mom when he was a kid and he remembers the lessons always ending in tears so there’s no way he wanted to teach me). And a couple weeks later, before even having a chance to use the gift certificate, I found out I was pregnant! I sure as heck didn’t want to learn how to drive when I was growing a human! I then had Lennon. And I sure as heck didn’t want to learn how to drive when I was sleep deprived! By the time I started getting sleep, my “L” had expired which meant having to do the written test again. No friggin way, I thought! I’m not going through that trickery again! I have to admit, this was one of the best concerts that I’ve ever gone to! Granted, I haven’t gone to that many concerts but I had a lot of fun and it was really memorable. I was never really a huge Backstreet Boys fan but I recognized a ton of their songs and the sing along element was huge. That definitely made it more fun and the crowd interaction brought the experience to a whole new level. When everyone is belting it out as loud as they can the level of energy is sizzling and you can’t help but get hyped up and excited. Performance wise, they were pretty entertaining and they sang all of their classics. It’s something I would do again but not at that price for floor seats. However, I found it interesting that they’re performing in Macau next month at the Venetian and I’ll be there around that time. I’m not sure I want to see them again so soon but it would be kind of funny to go again. Plus they offer VIP packages for meet and greet and personal photo opportunities and the cost is $500 US plus the purchase of your ticket. It’s definitely a heavy price to pay to go by yourself but I’m all about checking off the bucket list and it would be awfully hilarious to check off the ‘go to a concert by yourself and get the VIP photo’ Realistically this probably won’t happen because I’m not that gung ho to go again and I’d rather spend my money at Robuchon au Dome and take a ton of food pictures. But gambling and poker always happen in Macau and if I should win a ton of money then I’ll quit playing games with my heart.
