How do you measure progress? ⚖️
If you have goals of weight loss & your first thought is jumping on the scale every morning hoping for any decrease in number, you may want to re-evaluate the way you define progress.
You see, progress is more than just a number on your bathroom scale. It’s consistently moving in the direction that brings you closer to your goals. So how can we measure that? Is the scale a good tool for those with goals of fat loss? Well, yes, but it’s most certainly not the end all be all in terms of measuring overall progress.
For starters, the scale literally fluctuates daily... hourly even. So you won’t always be seeing a drop in weight which may alter any motivation to keep going. You also won’t see the full picture in regards to your overall fat mass versus lean mass. Maybe it’s time for a mindset shift. Try focusing on things like:
👖 My clothes are fitting differently!
💃 I have more energy during my day!
😴 I’m sleeping better with my new workout routine! -
🙌 I’m learning new lifts! -
💪 I’m getting stronger!
🥗 I started adding veggies to my meals!
💧 I drink more water!
🙋🏻♀️ I’m healthier!
💥 I FEEL better!
Start focusing on how far you’ve come & keep working hard. Nothing easy happens overnight. It will take patience. But when you learn to shift your mindset, even just a little, you’ll stay on track. Don’t give up. 👊 -

Today I want to talk about something other than my physical transformation. Let’s talk about the transformation that has happened that you can’t see. .
My mental 🧠 transformation has been something that I wasn’t expecting.🤯
I have noticed such a shift in the way I approach the normalcy of my day to day routines. I have learned to enjoy everything so much more than I did before.❤️
Mostly, I have found that I appreciate the people around me and the time I have with them. I take time to notice the good things happening around me and am grateful for them. I try and get out more and enjoy the weather ☀️ and the where we live.🏖
It’s amazing how your mindset can shift without even trying. It just take a little confidence and knowing that you are stronger than you think.💪🏼

Also saw one moonrise, one sunrise, three sunsets and two beaches at shoreline.
An unforgettable time for certain.

Lifestyle said they haven’t seen a fire tunnel this messy in a long time, so Virginia Beach must be hungry!
