A southern right whale 🐋 with the white underbelly in the shape of South Australia. ✨
I’ve travelled to a lot of places this year but South Australia will always be home. The southern right whales have a nursery in the Great Australian Bight, an area that is under threat due to companies wanting to drill for oil. An area that has more endemic species (not found anywhere else) than the Great Barrier Reef. An area with seas deeper, rougher and more remote than the Gulf of Mexico where the deepwater horizon spill occurred. An area that would be decimated, along with the entire south coast of Australia, Tasmania and even parts of New Zealand, if a spill were to occur there.
This is my home tattoo and also to remind me what we’re fighting for in the #FightForTheBight as well as our fight for #ClimateJustice and the well-being of our oceans and planet.
Thank you @blackmilk.ac for this beautiful piece 🖤

Endless beauty over here!! Back to solo traveling and got to say I’m in love with it. Headed to Chamonix for the weekend, then hoppin over to Budapest to end on a good note!
