There are just so many lovely beaches along the coastline in Pembrokeshire, some harder to get to than others but all so pretty, and the weather is just 💛☀️💛☀️(as I think it is in the whole of Northern Europe at the moment!!) More of my trip over in stories x
What a bloomin' great day. A lazy start and I treated Siân to breakfast in bed 😂. Then we drove a short way to Talybont-on-Usk and remembered why we don't usually venture out to tourist locations on a sunny weekend. Once we battles the crowds out of the first climb, we enjoyed a remote hike out to see the remains of a 1942 Canadian bomber that crashed into the hillside before descending via some nice waterfalls. Too many people at the falls and on the first climb to make it ideal, but it really was stunning and further reassurance we moved to the right part of the world.
Thanks @siandibley for my day out.
The sun is shining, shorts are on and I’ve already burnt my nose.. here comes my fave season!!👙🦀☀️

Sending positive thoughts into the air for those who need it. When you feel lost don’t be afraid to reach out but also don’t be afraid to let it wash over you like a wave. Like the see emotions comes in raging storms one minute then are gentle and calm, rippling at your feet the next. It will pass and heck why not shout at your negative feelings. Sometimes pretending to be Gandalf helps “YOU SHALL NOT PASS”

Standing in this spot I imagined the two climbers on the top of the hill were Frodo and Sam.

I think this wild white pony could be a relative or Shadowfax. For those of you who don’t know who Shadowfax is, he was a descendant of Felaróf, of the race of the long-lived Mearas, the greatest horses of Middle-earth. Shadowfax was capable of comprehending human speech and was said to run faster than the wind.

We are saying goodbye to this beautiful Holiday and heading back through the Brecon Beacons for one last adventure before our decent home. What a lovely little break it has been. Wales you have been a truly delight and I will miss you.

Today on our adventures we stopped at a wonderful Iron Age fort. These sorts of locations remind of the things I did on holidays with my parents. Elliott loved making bread with the lady in the big fort and I got to make a little iron necklace. We paddled in the stream and then headed to Tenby for a quick stop on the beach.

As the weather had been pretty awful this morning we decided it would be safer to just do the short walk with Elliott and view the three bridges instead. This place was enchanting and the smell of fresh water really was in the air.

Today’s misty adventure took us on the Vale of Rheidol Railway to Devils Bridge and what sights we did see. Oh goodness. I spotted my dream home in the valley and I am even more sure that I want to live my later life in and amongst such sights. I have so many photos to share and be sure I shall share them all! No rain was going to spoil our day and hey I think it added to the atmosphere of the misty mountains. I can see why Tolkien loved Wales so much.
