  • AD Some of you don’t know this but my health obsession was started by my mom and led to me working at a local health food store for years as a high school/college student. 💊

One of the “affordable but high quality” supplement brands I was introduced to was @nowfoodsofficial - I’ve been buying their products since the 90s but I hadn’t tried their beauty products until recently!

I was invited to tour their factory in Chicago (check my story favorites if you missed it - it’s pretty cool to see). I was impressed with their philosophy of not rushing to market and not adding new products unless they were sure they could do it at a high quality and reasonable price.

I’ve been trying out their products and these are my faves so far:

👉🏻 Vit C & Manuka Honey Gel Cleanser - I’m sensitive to Vit C, so I can’t use this on my face (booo!) but I’m loving it to help lighten my back acne scars.

👉🏻 Vit C & Sea Buckthorn Body Lotion - smells like citrus and has so many healing ingredients! It does contain fish collagen, so it’s great for skin but skip it if you’re vegan.

👉🏻 Vitamin D-3 Cream - Hydrating and non-greasy - I’m feeling the results immediately - you really do absorb SO much through your skin (I’m low in Vit D but very sensitive to even small doses). This also has Vitamins A, C and E.

👉🏻 Wrinkle Rescue Capsules - this is a really nice antioxidant blend with Vitamins A, C, E - and DMAE, L-Carnosine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, and Grape Seed Extract. It’s a great beauty and overall health supplement for pretty much everyone. But it’s especially nice if you’re acne prone and don’t want the biotin found in most beauty supplements. (NOW Foods does have a hair/skin/nails supplement with biotin too)

  • Such a fun day in Cozumel!!! We rented a speed boat for 2 and it was one of the funnest excursions that I've been on! We also went snorkeling and perused the shops. This will be my last time to have internet so I'm sure I'll do a post trip wrap-up later. So blessed! To no one's surprise, @neelydon Neely is an excellent travel mate.

Believe it or not a lot of people are Vitamin D deficient. 😳 Partly because of diet choices and partly because some people slather all that chemical ridden sunscreen on blocking those much needed sun rays! Get outside when you can, soak it up and when sunscreen is necessary, opt for healthier non toxic options. Today I’m not only getting my Vitamin D, I’m sweating out toxins and listening to another lecture from my school and gaining even more knowledge about the gut-brain connection. 🤓 how are you spending your weekend? .

FYI the sun is NOT bad for you, what's bad for you are the man made artificial Vitamin D supplements they created in a lab for you to ingest, when GOD gave us a SUN to get it from naturally. 15-20 minutes of natural sunlight is all you need for your daily dose of VITAMIN D. #sun #fun #vitamind #tan P.S. those #curls tho, lol.
