Good news! One of the #rescued dogs, Maggie May, from the #CampFire was reunited tonight with her owner and sister Taxxi! Maggie May came down to SFACC from #ButteCounty when she got lost and her home was destroyed by the #fire . Her owner found her photo on social media so thank you to everyone who shared and posted! 🙏🏼💞 #buttecountyfire#reunion#sfacc

Prayers for this family as they mourn the loss of their tiny baby boy: "I just wanted to thank you for sending all of those outfits. It is with great sadness that we lost our precious boy. I delivered him July 2nd and the only thing that fit him was the shirt with the stars that you sent. And it was perfect! He only weighed 10oz. You'll never know what that meant to me. " I was 27 weeks but he quit growing at 19 weeks.... And it having stars on it was so appropriate. You really made the hardest situation of our lives more comforting. Had we have not had that he probably would have had nothing but his tiny little cloth diaper. So this made it much more personal. Really, you made this time more special and we cant thank you enough." #nicu#nicubaby#niculife#micropreemie#twentyfiveandfour#nicuclothes#nonprofit#volunteersrock#infantloss#iugr#10ounces#nonprofit#loveup

Our volunteers were very hard at work AGAIN today in catching more loose bunnies i Hamilton. These bunns are being transferred to the Simcoe Humane Society. If you can give them a forever home please do! All will be spayed & neutered. Good to see shelters helping out in an emerg. 🐰 🐇
Of course never any consequences for the owners that neglected them, let them breed & let them loose outside. We are appreciative that they now wanted to do the right thing, & allowed us on their property to catch them. .
From events to programs, Downtown Lynchburg Association couldn't do the work we do without volunteers like you!

The weather is perfect so our volunteers have been hitting the pavement! Ivy, Gator and Hope enjoyed their evening stroll last evening! Our volunteers are the best! Thanks to all of those who spent time giving back this weekend to our paws! They enjoyed time with their people.

Here's a Low Waste Lunch Tip:
Pack half an apple! Children often take a few bites out of a whole apple and throw the rest away. This adds up when you think about 500+ Cudgee kids, five days week!
Instead, pack a few pieces of cut-up fruit or veg in a reusable container. The other half will store just fine in a container in the fridge for the next day’s lunch.
Garden club continues every Friday lunchtime. Check out our FB page (CVPS Kitchen Garden) for updates and please contact us if you’d like to come along sometime! Parents, grandparents and carers always welcome. #cudgegongvalleypublicschool#cudgeeschoolgardenclub#wastefreelunchbox#volunteersrock#schoolgardensrock

This is Melissa, our awesome Tail End Charlie last year, just starting what was to be a pretty long day. Races don’t happen without volunteers so thanks heaps Melissa, for taking care of everyone out there and making sure no one got left behind - and also for collecting up some markers along the way. And If I remember correctly, this was also only a week after you ran an ultra!
Happy Volunteer-anniversary to our friends at Holladay Park! For the past 5 years this dedicated crew has been coming in once a month to help spruce up children’s books. We are so grateful for your endless support. Thank you so much for your dedication & commitment! ❤❤ #VolunteersRock#Community#Portland#GiveWhereYouLive
Volunteers give our dogs some serious sunbathing time, now the snow storm is over 🤪 (thank you uncle Brodie!). If this looks like fun to you, or you would like to adopt any of these angels, email firstname.lastname@example.org. 🤩

#SiliconValley Walk to End Alzheimer's team captains, we have a great challenge for you. @WarbyParker is supporting the Silicon Valley Walk by giving away a FREE pair of prescription glasses to one lucky team captain who recruits the most team members between March 18 and April 1. The winner will be announced on April 2. Good luck and may the best recruiter win! Aren't registered for 2019 yet? There is still time! Go to act.alz.org/siliconvalley2019 to register and get your team started.
Being a CASA means you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear what's going on in a child's mind... and it's not always easy if you don't know what to look for. CASA's are trained to look for the signs of abuse and neglect to ensure that child has a voice.
It's not hard to be a CASA, it just takes a little time, effort, and love to make a change. Consider joining our efforts and donating some of your time to become an advocate for these darling children!
Training classes start April 2nd and you can schedule an orientation any time by calling (559) 625-4007 and asking for either Michelle Mitchell or Anthony Maldonado for more information! .
Come volunteer with me the weekend of the Glass City Marathon!!!!
When I’m not volunteering I’ll be racing and then you can cheer me on!
How To Be Your Best Course Marshal
1) Be seen. Wear bright colours and high visibility safety gear. This not only helps traffic see you and keep you safe, but it also helps runners see you and your enthusiasm. Bonus points if you wear blinky lights, glow sticks, or sequins.
2) Be heard. Whoop, holler, cheer, and let the glee in your heart rush out through those vocal cords. Practice your stand up comedy. Make up a silly cheer. Call out the runners and see who is paying attention. It's exhausting work and laryngitis is a thing but that's why man made cowbells.
3) Be you. You're already awesome for spending your day selflessly helping the runners have the best damn race of their lives. Bask in your own glory and let your spirit eminate. It really is contageous.
The Mercy Health Glass City Marathon is still recruiting awesome folks like you to come out and spend a beautiful spring day in the center of all the excitement. Perks include a fashionable volunteer tee shirt, a loud and proud cowbell, a front row seat (well, intersection) to all the action on the course, and a ticket to the after party to schmooze and booze with the athletes.
Signing up is easy. Signing up your friends and family is even easier.

For more than 10 years, Jeanne Chauvin has supported Foundation Communities through her service and love for community. She has supported our Back to School Drive and Welcome Home Basket programs, contributing and encouraging her coworkers and neighbors to get involved. Most recently, Jeanne has served as a lead volunteer at our Community Supper Clubs at Bluebonnet Studios. Here’s what Jeanne says about volunteering with Foundation Communities: “What really drew me to this organization was their commitment to the Austin community. The wide range of programs that they offer impact our city in such a positive way. I absolutely love adding my energy as a volunteer!” Thank you Jeanne for all you have given to us! Volunteer spotlight: Allen Clements.
Allen was born and raised in South Louisiana where, in the soggy backyard, in honor of Allen’s birth, his father planted a live oak tree which still thrives today. Growing up he enjoyed spending times on trails, waterways, and in the forests of Louisiana, Arkansas, and Mississippi. Allen has worked in varied media including television, live music and web. Allen has always seen Horn Farm center as a friend and ally in his personal mission of spreading regenerative living and farming and is very proud to have a place on the Horn Farm Board of Directors to help the farm provide the most education and research to our community. #Volunteersrock ! #service#community
Happy Belated St. CAT-rick’s Day! We shared an early one with King Kyo... and this one is a little late, but a very special Cat Crew Volunteer, Fran, with us before we even opened PURRsonal Space! Always there for us and our cats. Thank you, Fran!
And here she is smiling big with a little girl who came to us not feeling well so her interaction with other cats wasn’t positive; it’s not a good time to introduce them to new cats. But to see how her confidence increased and out and about relaxing more and more made us very happy for her!
At times intervention was necessary with a kitty whom had some vision loss and couldn’t see her body language telling him to stay away, so she learned to be vocal and sometimes swat to make her message known. He only wanted to say hello.
Cats may not love each other, but in a larger open area of a home, they learn to live together and give one other space.
Many times she hung out with the other cats, after introducing them all with treats. She was very relaxed when it was calm and we noticed when there was a lot of excitement and movement at the lounge, she reacted to that and became a little anxious at times. Other times she didn’t mind at all.
We always suggest paying close attention and giving any animals the extra support they need... when they feel safe with us, those situations typically will no longer be a trigger and affect them. #bekind#bepatient#animalsneedus#volunteersrock#gratitude#alwaysthereforus#thankful#helpingcats#cats#hopethishelps#stcatricksday#welovecats#allaboutthecats#catrescue#adoptdontshop#volunteer #purrsonalspacecatlounge

@Ea1785 US students - looking for a rewarding experience this summer? Volunteer with Horizons! Applications due by 3/22. Details available here https://horizonsea.org/support/volunteer-2/ #volunteersrock#givingback
Who else is watching Dancing with the Stars? ⠀ It’s my first year and it’s all due to this guy. ⠀
I’ve had a little crush on him since he was Evan in the Secret Life of Us 😍(I so wanted to live in that apartment building too, with all my friends - drinking on the rooftop!)⠀ Not only an amazing talent, what he and his beautiful late sister, Connie have done for breast cancer awareness is phenomenal. @Loveyoursister is aiming to raise 10 million dollars for cancer research. Anyone committed enough to unicycle around the whole of Australia – I’m sure he’ll do it. ⠀
Vote for Sam!⠀

This past week #Dare2Bvolunteers taught our younger little bits all about WomensHistoryMonth
The kids learned about 4 famous women in history. Volunteers helped them write about one woman in their lives thatinspires them. They ended the night coloring in paper dolls of the 4 women they learned about.
They had so much fun! Special thanks to all the volunteers that helped our #Dare2Bkids have so much fun while learning about such an important topic.

We are often asked how we are able to care for 94 rescued animals & have full time jobs outside of the Sanctuary. We have volunteers like no other! Our volunteers make all of this possible & they know these animals as if they were their own! Our volunteers come from different backgrounds but we all have something in common! Sanctuary life is not just fun & games, it’s a lot of work, expenses & worry. But together we save countless lives & provide excellent care! ❤️🐷🐎🐖🐐🐕🦙🦃🐱🐓🐔🦚 #volunteersrock#thankyou#farmsanctuary#sanctuary#sanctuarylife@blind_spot_animal_sanctuary_

Huge thank you to everyone who came out to the gala last night and to our special guests @mayorbrianbowman and @johnrush5 for your support!! And of course a big thank you to all our volunteers without whom none of this would be possible! 🌟💫🌟
If anyone has pictures from the gala they would like featured on our page feel free to direct message us here!
If y’all didn’t come out to volunteer day yesterday, you really missed out on something truly amazing and wonderful!! Frank worked with our newest rescue horse, Neesa, whom isn’t even halter broke yet because of her huge trust issues, and he wanted to show and teach her that coming in is a safe place. His goal: to pet her face and the goal was achieved!🙌🏼 He also used the lead rope to help desensitize her. Thank you all who came and see y’all again March 30th! #volunteerday#volunteersrock#dcervolunteers#makingprogress#babysteps#rescuehorse#dovecreekequinerescue

Dream is soaking up some Vitamin D now that the rain has stopped!
Our little fighter is feeling better these days, but we are still waiting a few more weeks to find out if his liver is fully functioning now. In the meantime, he’s getting his puppy energy back, and learning to be a good boy in his foster home so that he will be prepared to move to a forever home as soon as we have good news about his health!
We are also still paying off his multiple surgeries and hospitalizations, which have cost over $15,000 now. Can you help us pay off these bills so that we can continue saving pups like Dreamykins? We need your support and donations to make sure that these deserving and sweet babes make it out of the shelter and get a fighting chance at a good life! If you would like to help, you can donate through Dream’s GoFundMe, Facebook, PayPal, or regular mail!
Thank you to all who have already contributed to McDreamy’s care and shared his story, we love your hearts! 💗
Dream’s GoFundMe and backstory are located here:
