What animals can teach you about body awareness & movement? Well, if you have a cat or dog at home, just observe how they behave after waking up. Will they quickly wake up and like many humans do, go towards 2 cups of coffee and leave for an office in order to spend 8 hours just sitting with closed chest? No...They take their time to stretch and move their bodies, not once a week for an hour but many times through the day. If you ever watched documentaries on animals, you will see different type of stretch movements, which are preparing them for the big moves ... they crowl, they move their spine in such a fluid way..
So, what can you learn from an animal world? ✔They stretch every time after some time of "no movement".. Especially after sleeping.. that means, despite your evening workout you should always stretch in the morning..
✔They do not stretch for an hour, but several times through the day...
✔They enjoy it and seems relaxed- watch your cat/ dog stretching and its because of what I have written above- they don't wait until body is completely stiff after a week of no movement...so stretch is not a painful thing to do for them
✔They have deep body awarness: they respond to the needs of their body... They dont forget about it.. If they have a wound, they will constantly lick it.. After waking up, the first thing they do , they stretch muscles , fascia, all the stiffness away.. They would not forget about their bodies needs just because they need to rush to work... ✔The animal explore different range of movements- moving in all type of directions, stretching as deep as possible 🚫🚫🚫Forgetting about the body needs, not moving it, developing deep stifness, including fascia, will create several pains and discomfort in the body!!!
From tomorrow on, dedicate 5 minutes in the morning to move and stretch... close your eyes,feel your body and try to move in different directions,having in mind you want to create space and openness in the body.. yoga positions are perfect for it!!
On the 🎥🎥 ➡️➡️➡️ you can watch my short stretching/movements this morning before teaching st 7am ❤

  • #thegirlpack.....it’s never easy to leave your responsibilities behind..not easy to carry em with u, it’s not the weight of a backpack that’s heavy on your shoulders but the lil worries u carry on with u..that’s us women...never the less we 3 everyday moms in our forties decided to take on a Himalayan challenge, some joined with their sons...some left daughters behind, some joined with a husband, we r not trained athletes nor are we from the fitness industry but 3 regular moms yesss keen to stay fit and make this trip part of our fitness journey, we took strength from each other when our eyes swelled up, at times with fear of what we had to face, n at times in awe of the view, those dreaded days of the month more bearable with the presence of another woman...a WiFi signal or a cell reception a blessing from the heavens cox some of us yearned to know of loved ones  we left behind, a mirror was a blessing too at times for we needed to see what our hair looked like n a lil lip gloss can’t be that bad..after all we are girls 😊 end of it all we came out stronger, happier n healthier I m sure..N I just wanted to put a message out there that it takes a lot to stand up from the couch...to get out of the gym classroom, to leave the familiar roads u run, but it’s never too late for regular moms like us also to take up new challenges..climb the mountains..seek the view..walk the forests..just do something different to what we have been doing..for adventure is always calling n it’s always worth the while...just need that one push one step outside your comfort zone n believe me the feeling is gooood and the view breathtaking 😊🙏 #wanderlust #blessings#adventuretime#hikerlife#dhivehinnahvesvaane (text by @shuweyahmed
