🌿 Luke 19:30 "It is finished." This verse hold so much power. With those simple words, Jesus took all of our sins onto Himself. He took our burdens. He took our shame. He took it all. All with those three simple words. Today is the day to be grateful, celebrate, & reflect what He did for us! Because of His death, because He took on the sin, and because of who He is we can truly live! Hallelujah! Take a minute to dwell on those simple words in Luke 19:30 today. Happy Good Friday, friends! 🌿

Countless hours of studying and night classes, too many tears shed, pep talks given and received, many reminders, a lot of smiles, check-ins with each other, a few hugs when things got really bad, IMs, A LOT of laughs, bout a million emails, few study sessions, and most importantly endless support has been shared with these girls in the past 8 months. ❤️ 🎓 🏥 📓 💕 ———————————-
The value of having not 1 but 2 people in my world who truly understand the difficulty of simultaneously working full time and obtaining a masters degree is irreplaceable.
It’s certainly not been an easy year but it would have been a lot more difficult with out these two babes by my side. .
Cheers to our last day of field! ✨👏🏻 😃
The older I get, the less I’m sure of.
I love answers. A 15 minute conversation with me will prove this as I fail to bite my lip wanting to ask you all the questions. There’s so much to learn, to know, to seek.
But beneath the inquiry is often the rush of fear. Like waves under the surface, it pushes me to know my boundaries, draw hard lines, because heaven forbid I just go with the flow and get caught unknowning.
You know the biggest comfort I’ve found in the last two years? It’s not my job. It’s not my job to have all the answers, not even to ask all the right questions. I do not hold truth or LOVE together. It holds me.
My entire life has been a grasp at getting to the right viewpoint, to find the exact congruence of truth and love and hold it poised in my hand to shine like a beacon for me and the world around me. Nah. Not my job.
Let me say it again. God...Love, it holds ME together. And never once asked me to be the holder.
Whatever your observance on this day, know that Love holds your DNA together. #goodfriday#hedidit#wearefree#rest#youareheld#loveisbigger#knownothing#loveholdsyoutogether#createdinlove#stilllearningthis
Before you keep scrolling, please take a moment to look at this picture. Today is the day (Good Friday) that Jesus took His last breath for us all. Even for those who hate Him, do not know Him, or do not want to know Him. #wearefree #goodfriday #holyweek #thecross #thankyougod 🙏
He’s come a long way, but it’s nearly time for the plan to be fulfilled. The culmination of Holy Week is soon to come; Good Friday, the day Christ was crucified for the sins of the world. But His work on the earth was not yet finished. It was Passover, and Jesus delivered a message to His disciples that meant in short: Judas will betray me and I will die, but you must never forget what I have done. He broke bread and they drank wine, as was tradition for Passover since the Passover event itself occurred in Moses’ time. But this would be Jesus’ last supper. All was soon to be said and done. This breaking of bread, He said, would be His body, His blood the wine, poured out for all mankind. Therefore, we still practice communion today (“this do in remembrance of me”) and essentially remind ourselves in a special kind of way of the Lord’s endless love for us, and what His Son did to reconcile all of us, us filthy sinners. Holy Week is love, just as God is. This Week was the epiphany, the climax, the ultimate precipice of God’s love. He showed it in the most amazing way possible. We should never forget this: we were the people shouting “Hosanna!” on Sunday, and we are now the people shouting “crucify Him! Crucify Him!” on Thursday. We are condemning the Man who has come to save us. Yet He’ll never return such condemnation. For the cup the Father gave Him was of pain and suffering, to bear our sins, and now we are free. Don’t let that freedom slip through your hands. Accept Him as Your Savior, because He died for You. His body was broken, His blood poured out. He gave His life; why should we not give Him ours in return?

For those who have been following along lets continue with a story shall we.
I live at 4,200 ft Elevation in the High Desert of Eastern Oregon. One thing you'll notice if you ever get the chance to venture out in the great expanse of the desert is it is very, very quiet. There is a silence that exist in the desert that is Deafening. It is a powerful silence that makes ones mind and spirit take notice and account to your very soul. Once the overwelming experience of silence subdues you begin to hear things in a way you've never noticed before. The sound of an Eagles wings as it soars high above. The noise its feathers make as they slice through the atmosphere. To me its a beautiful melody of Nature, in its essence it defines music. A music that I love. I have been told however that there are those who find discomfort in the Deserts ackward silence. In its extremes it appears to be cruel, savage and wild. I am not bothered by those opinions, it is the Freedom which this Nation provides. They are free to love the big city, the mid-western plains or anywhere in between they are free to choose how they wish to live. Today we stand on the razors edge of that freedom. Where small numbers of activists and lawmakers have banned together to remove our rights to choose. To live our lives within the rightful rule of Law. Today I call like the deafening silence of the desert. I call you to act to protect your freedoms. #nofurban#wearefree#wethepeople#countrygirls#countryboy#rocknroll#countrymusic#pbr#nationalfinalsrodeo#Nativespirited#natives#rancher#americanhideandfur#tednugent#joeroganexperience#stand

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes". - Marcel Proust
One of my big loves in life is travel. I absolutely love seeing new landscapes, meeting new people and being fascinated by new cultures. 🌏
Travel is an investment for me, it enriches my life in ways that other investments can’t and this is why I often save purely to travel. ✈️
Tonight I am off to India with one of my best friends @hannahsworld_ and I am sooo excited! I have always been curious about India, it’s always been ‘on my list’ and I’m grateful for making it happen! Will be sharing my experiences along the way in case anyone else is interested in going. 🇮🇳
Is there that place that has been ‘on your list’ but you’ve never found the money or time to go? Maybe do a little research today, get excited about it. You can even make an Instagram collection of some inspiring photos of that place. Take action to make it happen today, put some money aside each month, research the best time of the year to go and mark the time off! Don’t feel bad about investing in your own life experience, broadening your mind will only benefit those around you. 🙌
Do you ever feel like there are two sides of yourself? Similar to what you see in the movies, there's the devil version, the "bad you", and the angel version, the "good you". Each one sitting on a shoulder, arguing back and forth, trying to convince you to do right or wrong.
Life certainly feels that way sometimes, like we are playing tug of war with ourselves, wanting to do right but falling into the same habits of wrong again and again. And yet, the Bible tells us that in Christ we are free from sin? What's up with that?
The first thing we must understand is this: when the Bible says that we are free from sin, it means that we really are free from sin, that is, our sin-nature.
Before we are in Christ, sin has dominion over us. In fact, it goes even deeper than that because before Christ sin actually defines us. It is our identity, our nature.
But in Christ, all is changed. In Christ, our identity is made new, our nature made new, and sin no longer has control. Sin no longer is in the driver's seat, Christ is.
That isn't to say that we never behave sinfully, but when we do, it simply means we are not acting according to our new identity.
Free from sin isn't just for after death. It absolutely does mean that we are free from the penalty of eternal death, but it is so much more than that!
Free from sin is for right here, right now, while living on earth still waiting for Christ to return. It means that sin is no longer our master, that we can and will have victory over sin through the power of the Holy Spirit.
This isn't to say that we are completely sinless. Our bodies remain the same until Christ comes back. But don't let the enemy convince you that sin is still your master or that it is still who you are.
You WERE a sinner saved by grace, but you aren't anymore. In Christ, you are a saint who sometimes sins (Steve McVey). In Christ, you are truly free from sin.
