Made our way back to Zion to wrap up a killer week driving around Southern Utah. @derekflodmand making his way down from an afternoon hike to Angels Landing.

Sometimes I crave the disconnect. Glancing down to no bars, no new notifications. When the only sound linking civilization may be a passing car here and there or plane flying over the trailhead. I didn’t have the chance to go far with waning light and errands to accomplish, but I got out. Stopping along a regular spot on my way home down the canyon to snap this shot. Even fate held me to my unplug theme as it wasn’t until I took my camera out I realized all my batteries were charging at home and I only had 3% left on the battery in my camera. A few miles on the trail was my small way of breathing what fresh air the mountains could provide on another Earth Day. A simple moment to remember this planet is our home, and it’s our job to pick up the trash we leave behind so that those after us can enjoy it just as we do. Happy Belated Earth Day All, and don’t forget, take only memories, and leave only footprints. #earthday

Wonderful way to end the weekend 🖤
This may be THE BEST petroglyph site I’ve visited, it’s definitely my favorite. So many unique pieces I’ve not seen at any other site.

"This is what the process looks like to apply for one month's worth of energy assistance.
They will only provide assistance for one month/year. You have to fill out six pages worth of information listing all income, expenses, resident history, among other things and provide documentation for EACH item. Then you have to get the paperwork notarized and set up an interview with the county. That doesn't even guarantee services.
Tiny Human for scale.
When I first saw photos of Factory Butte there was nothing to show how big it truly was. In person it is a monster!
I’ve struck out the last two times with poor lighting, hopefully the third time in a couple of weeks I’ll get a clear sky 🙏🏼🙏🏼

I feel forever grateful I live here and I don't have to spend my life behind a desk at a job that slowly sucks out my soul.
Happy Monday! I'm not gonna lie, some weeks I hate Monday, but this week I am looking forward to being productive and tackling a new week! This morning Weston and I did yard work, went on a walk, and went to Costco 💪🏼 I feel so accomplished already! What are some things you do to motivate yourself and be more intentional about how you use your time?
Closing out the ski season with 618 inches of snow that fell this winter and I skied another 100+ days. This epic Alta season was definitely one for the books. 🌭❤️❄️

You don’t always have to go big to have an adventure. A simple hike with spectacular views and a small challenge here and there can provide just as much satisfaction as you need.
We on the other hand seem to make our own adventures, on this trail we followed the cairns to an overlook, not realizing that you had to backtrack to find another cairned trail to find the easy way down. The whole time we scrambled down the face I kept saying, this can’t be it, normal people wouldn’t do this...
Watching the sun rise across moonscape overlook is an experience that I will never forget. From blue hour to golden hour the landscape completely changes.

Honestly little hidden gems are my favorite! Especially the ones right off the side of the road. Some days I don’t feel like hiking long distances but maybe going for a drive and seeing a waterfall as a bonus. Thank god utah has tons of these hidden gems. 🙌🏻💕 #home

That Moment Before Darkness; Skyline Arch in Arches National Park probably is one of the most under rated arch of the whole park...we simply do not see any pics of it!! And I don’t understand why! The place is stunningly beautiful! It’s like a small peaceful amphitheater, it’s near the main road and pretty easy to find... I always enjoy a nice sunset there every once in a while! As many of you already know, I always really like to used highly textured elements in my foreground and that night was not exception as I found an epic dead tree lying down on the ground creating some pretty amazing lines into my composition!! And the light just happened to be breathtaking!! 😎 Shot on @canonusa 5DSr with Canon 11-24mm, at 17mm, f11, 2 seconds, ISO100. It is in fact a focus stack of quite a few images because the dead tree log was pretty close to the camera and getting every thing into focus was basically impossible with a single exposure!! Enjoy!!😉
First time to the north part of Capitol Reef National Park. Definitely not my last!
Thanks to the intervalometer that came with the new @sonyalpha a7III firmware I just set my settings and started the sequence without having to worry about an external device!

I pray that death will not come and find me still unannihilated.’ In other words, that man dies happy if there is no one to die. In other words, if the ego’s disappeared before death caught up to him.
