👼 Weeping angels or fuckboy demon statues 😈??? @laproxie and i have completely different canons, her canon takes place centuries ago where her main boyos are big demon pirates. My canon takes place in present day and all of my kids are human. SOOO we came ame up with a cute idea that gargoyles and statues are just napping demons. And Andy happened to take a very very long nap
This tiny church, called Chiesetta di Piedigrotta, is located right on the shores of Pizzo, carved into rock and filled with tuff statues. Being a #Whovian , the first thing I noticed, besides from the strong yet pleasant seashell aroma, was the striking resemblance it carried to Alfava Metraxis, the seventh planet in the Dundra system, in the Garn belt (swipe to see a picture). The dark underground Mazes of the planet were actually infested by a Weeping Angel colony that hunted the local population to extinction. This colony, fallen into hibernation due to lack of any energy source, was later revived when the Byzantium (a category four Galaxy class Starliner with a temporal core) crashed with a healthy Angel on board. I enjoyed this place a lot: walking amid those sculptural groups gave me a very peaceful feeling and yet, for a little while, I also felt the thrill of being one of the Doctor’s companions.
Creatures from another world, only statues when you see them. Lonely Assassins, that's what they used to be called. No one quite knows where they came from, but they're as old as the Universe, or very nearly. And they have survived this long because they have the most perfect defence system ever evolved. They are Quantum Locked. They don't exist when they are being observed. The moment they are seen by any other living creature they freeze into rock. No choice, it's a fact of their biology. In the sight of any living thing, they literally turn into stone. And you can't kill a stone. Of course, a stone can't kill you either, but then you turn your head away. Then you blink. Then, oh yes, it can. That's why they cover their eyes. They're not weeping, they can't risk looking at each other. Their greatest asset is their greatest curse. They can never be seen. Loneliest creatures in the Universe. And I'm sorry. I am very, very sorry. It's up to you now. Don't blink. Don't even blink. Blink and you're dead. They are fast. Faster than you can believe. Don't turn your back, don't look away, and DON'T blink. Good luck — Steven Moffat | #weepingangels
Watching unattended children try to manage their own queue makes me so anxious for the young and so happy to be old. 👵🏻 However, their ability to steadily creep forward while not making eye contact bodes well for the future of Massachusetts drivers. 👍 #weepingangels#kidproblems#politedriversaretheworst
