It’s been a little bit since I’ve timelined my journey so in the spirit of the new Spring Sprint 8 Week Challenge starting, here’s a little look down memory lane.

Not pictured:
Me at my highest weight of 403lbs. I very rarely took pictures at that point in my life. I hated looking in mirrors and pictures were a definite NO!

•Weight: 375lbs
•Diet: anything to lose weight
-I was 3 months into a 6 month medically supervised diet to be approved for gastric bypass surgery. I was working out a few days a week but mainly focusing on nutrition since I knew I would have to change my relationship with food after surgery. I removed junk foods and focused on eating well.

•1 year post RNY surgery
•Diet: all of them
•Eating about 800 calories per day
•Training: Cardio
•My very first My Transphormation Challenge.
-I was still very confused about diet and exercise even a year into my journey. I was jumping from diet to diet.... anyone remember the Military Diet? Yup did that one too. I was working out 2-3 times a day 4-5 days a week and while I was losing weight, I wasn’t seeing the results I wanted so I joined the My Transphormation Starts Today challenge. I needed the guidance, the knowledge, and mostly, the support.

•4th MTST Challenge
•Diet: Balance of protein/carbs/fat
•Eating 1400-1600 calories a day
•Training: Strength and cardio
-This is just before my 360° tummy tuck and arm lift. I honestly feel like I’m at the best point in my life! I have found a workout plan that works for me, as well as a nutrition plan that works for my body. I’ve learned so much about health and nutrition through the MTST challenges and continue to learn every day! I am stronger. I am driven. I have hope and determination to keep pushing myself to be my best!

Joining the My Transphormation Starts Today challenge has been truly life changing for me. I’m thankful every single day for @1stphorm creating a program that helped change my life forever.

  • I am always super hesitant to post transformation photos, but I seriously have come such a LONG way in my health & wellness journey! & HONESTLY INVESTING IN MY HEALTH HAS BEEN THE MOST REWARDING THING!!! Mentally, physically & emotionally putting your health first is VITAL! Eating WHOLE FOODS & NOURISHING YOUR BODY WELL IS KEY! I’ve realized that I have SUCH A HUGE PASSION FOR NUTRITION! I seriously want to help others get healthy from the inside out. Taking care of your Body is so essential!

Du hast keinen Bock auf Sport? 
Nun das kann an vielen Dingen liegen. Vielleicht fühlst du dich in deinen Sportklamotten nicht wohl. Dazu kann ich nur empfehlen, zieh an worin du dich wohlfühlst. Du musst nicht super sexy aussehen, denn du gehst ins Fitnesstudio und nicht auf den Laufsteg. Ich zum Beispiel habe mir in der Herrenabteilung Shirts in XXL gekauft, damit ich mir nicht über jede Speckrolle sorgen machen muss. Egal wie, es müssen Klamotten her in denen du dich gut fühlst. 
Jetzt hast du die passende Kleidung, aber immer noch keine Lust? 
Vielleicht ist dein Trainingsplan auch einfach veraltet oder doof. Oftmals kriegt man auch einfach nur einen langweiligen Standard 08/15 Plan. Wenn du jetzt keine Ahnung hast, wie du selbst einen Plan erstellst, dann traue dich zum Trainer zu gehen und einen anderen einzufordern. Findest du den Trainer unsympathisch, dann geh an einem anderen Tag zu einem anderen. Du traust dich nicht zwischen all den Männern zu trainieren? Das ist okay, oft gibt es einen extra Frauenraum. Aber an dieser Stelle muss ich eine Sache sagen, entweder interessieren sich die anderen nicht für dich, oder sie sind sehr nett und wollen dir helfen. Dafür muss man sich nicht schämen oder Angst haben. 
So jetzt hast du immer noch keine Lust? Tja dann ist das eben so. Geh trotzdem. Die Motivation kommt irgendwann und wenn nicht, dann ist das kein Weltuntergang. Überlege nur welche Ziele du hast und worauf du weniger Lust hast. Dich auf der Couch mies zu fühlen, oder aufzustehen und aktiv etwas zu tun?

Maar gisteravond een hele hoop chocolade opgegeten waardoor ik nu gelijk ben gebleven.. en dan geloof je toch niet dat er zaterdag gewoon een kilo af was😂

Ach.. bij mij gaat het dus ook zo.. zag wel dat ik een hoop vocht vast hou.. dus het zal wel vocht zijn.. want een kilo vet heb ik de afgelopen dagen niet bij gegeten..(daar ben ik wel zeker van)

Dus change of plans.. ik ga weer wat meer eten zat super laag in kcal afgelopen week  1100 gemiddeld 🙄 dat werkt niet voor mij.. nou dan weet ik dat ook👌
Gezien dat ik lang geleden zo'n eetbui heb gehad.. ga ik mijn kcal weer omhoog gooien.. wil rond de 1300 gemiddeld uitkomen... Gewoon weer mijn oude aantal eigenlijk.. En dat ga ik de komende tijd aanhouden tot de vakantie samen met de beweging hoe ik die nu heb.. Ik ga geen doel meer stellen met gewicht ik zie wel wat er af gaat.. als ik nu naar mezelf kijk ben ik al best wel tevreden! Heb al zoveel bereikt..💪🤞👌 Effe rust in de tent en slow en steady afvallen is toch het beste 👌 (jullie wisten nog niet dat ik heel eigenwijs was..?😱) Maar 1 ding weet ik zeker!   • Super tender Mississippi Pot Roast over cauliflower mash is what’s for dinner. This time I used powdered Ranch Dressing to stay close original the recipe. I switched out an onion soup packet with sautéed onions and garlic. Using an electric pressure cooker, I doubled the time from 20 mins to 40 minutes for fork tender beef. •

2 lbs Beef chuck
1/3 onions chopped
3 garlic minced
8 to 10 pepperonchini’s
2/3 packet Ranch Dressing
1/2 cup Kerrygold butter
Salt and pepper

Season the beef and sear on all sides in the pressure cooker. Set beef aside and sauté onions and garlic till translucent and golden. Place the beef on top of the onions and sprinkle in ranch dressing and top with butter and peppers. Pressure cook on high for 40 minutes and release naturally. Shred the beef with 2 forks and enjoy with cauliflower mash.

  • as another Easter passes us by I hope you all had an amazing long weekend filled with all your favourite things (and favourite chocolate! 🍫😜)

please don’t spend today regretting what you ate/drank 🙅🏼‍♀️ and definitely don’t embark on a vicious cycle of restrictive eating to compensate for those extra calories consumed, nor should you workout to punish yourself .. cut yourself some slack and enjoy the fact you had a little indulgence .. life’s too short!

instead make health your number 1 priority today 🙏🏽 schedule that workout in as a non negotiable 💪🏽💦 make sure your meals are high in nutrients, vitamins & minerals 🍽🥦 and my advice would be to tap into some intuitive eating ➡️ put simply, eat when you’re hungry! if you’ve over indulged there’s a good chance you’re not waking up ravenous this morning so leave breakfast until your body is telling you it actually needs it 💭 there’s nothing worse than filling up on a bowl of hearty porridge when you’re body is still digesting food from the previous day

safe to say I had my fair share of eggs 🍫 prosecco 🥂 and BBQ’s over the weekend 🍖 so today I’ll be intermittent fasting till around lunchtime, smashing out some fasted boxing and helping my clients get back on track with plenty of sweaty 1-2-1 sessions 😝💦 as well as teaching down at @f45_towerbridge with the F45 family 💪🏽🔥

  • Been pretty down lately about not being able to do a show soon and waiting for my leg to heal up. Ran into an old friend today @da9valentin . He lit a spark in me, reminding me on how far I have come and what I can do when I set my mind to it.  If that means packing on some quality size till next year, then so be it but I’ll come in looking solid😤 The grind begins once again . 🔥💪🏻🤫
