  • I was told last week that I don’t have the right to show my before/after pictures because I have had surgery. This person took it to the level of saying I’m a complete fraud.
I know I’m not. And I honestly don’t care what this person thinks. But I want you to know the TRUTH:
I’m not here to show you what’s PROBABLE.
I’m here to show you what’s POSSIBLE.
I’m here to inspire even ONE woman take the first step on this journey.
Fact is: I’ve had surgery. I’m real open about it.
.
What many of you DON’T know is:
-From weight loss surgery, I lost 60 pounds quickly and gained almost all of it back. I learned, the hard way, that surgery only works if YOU do.
-Because of nutritional issues post op, I landed in the ER many times.
-During my weight loss, I went through a divorce that made plastic surgery financially impossible.
-Nutritional issues after plastics caused severe complications that resulted in two extra surgeries.
.
But no matter what: I persisted.
-I learned how to eat and workout to lose the weight...and I gave it my all.
-I learned how to give my body the nutrition it needed so I don’t get sick.
-I worked 30+ overtime hours a week for a year so that I could find a way to have the plastic surgery I wanted so badly.
-I finally healed from my plastics complications.

I don’t say all this to impress you, but to impress UPON you that sometimes there is more than what meets the eye. I was met with resistance EVERY STEP of the way...but no matter what: I persisted-and so can you.

The key to success in ANY area of your life is NOT mastering the ability to be consistently PERFECT, but mastering the ability to be consistently BETTER. 💕

One of the most common fat loss questions I’m asked often goes something along the lines of “How do I get rid of this belly fat on my stomach?”

Unfortunately, the answer to that question is never as simple as most people would hope. There is no exercise or workout that specifically targets belly fat. No amount of crunches or sit-ups will get the job done.

There is actually no way to target any specific area of fat on your body. Some people will lose fat on their stomachs first, and then their arms and thighs. Others are the opposite.

If you maintain a calorie deficit & remain patient, your overall body fat levels will drop over time. That means that eventually, that stubborn belly fat will come off.

I couldn't be happier with my progress. This is has been the best "diet" decision I have ever made. The best part about it is that it's not a diet at all. It's is quite simply, a pure, healthy, sustainable way of eating. I feel balanced, happy, satisfied and beautiful. I KNOW that beauty isn't about how much you weigh, or what size you wear.... but when you don't feel healthy, you usually don't feel good. Beauty starts on the inside, and that is EXACTLY what I have found. My body has changed - and so have my thoughts and emotions 💕 I feel like a new woman, and I'm so happy to have found this way of eating!! I actually really dislike the photo on the left.
Not hate, because that was still me.
But I dislike how sad I remember being. Stuck on that sofa, it was middle of summer and as far as I recall, I was drunk, eating snacks and gaming while sweating my minimal Asian titties off.

Once upon a time, that was my daily regime.
Come home from work, play video games and eat A LOT of food. (Not always bad food; but just large quantities). Times have changed in a few years!
I mean, I still come home from work, sit and play video games and eat my dinner while doing it 😂 - but I’ve got a better balance.

I run, I lift, I play badminton.
I work a 9-5 wanker job, I cook, I make time for friends and family.

I also make time for myself - and sometimes that may be playing World of Warcraft and banging my head against a hard raid boss, or lifting weights or in this photo’s instance - go for a 20k run in the sun!

Balance is always key. If you go too hard in one direction you will inevitably crash and burn. I’ve learned that the hard way on both sides of the spectrum.

I get asked this question a lot. “What should I eat to lose weight?” Truthfully, there’s no real answer here. The so-called “best” foods are the ones that help you achieve a caloric deficit, and those might be different for you than they are for me.

Of course there are foods that are beneficial across the board. Eating leafy greens is a great idea because they are high volume and low calorie, so you’ll fill up with less calories. Most vegetables will fall into that category and are always a great choice.

Celery juice is repulsive, but if you’re the rare breed that actually likes it, then it can be great for weight loss. Not because it has some magic effects on your body, but because it can fill you up, helping you to be in a caloric deficit.

Ice cream can help you lose weight too. I’m not saying that adding ice cream to your diet will shed pounds. But if you’re someone who loves ice cream and you torture yourself by NEVER allowing yourself to enjoy it, your weight loss journey is going to not only be miserable, but unsustainable. By allowing yourself to enjoy it as a treat sometimes, it will make your journey much more tolerable, and you’ll actually be happy along the way.

Any food can help you achieve weight loss if it leads you to a caloric deficit.

Don’t neglect the mental aspect of weight loss. You don’t need to eat twigs and grass to lose weight. Work foods that make you happy into your diet and you’ll find this whole weight loss thing much, much easier.

I think #keto cracks the code to get rid of belly fat. After I turned 40 whenever I gained any weight it went straight to my gut, then I got pregnant at 43 and BAM I had a permanent tire. When I started the #ketodiet on April 22 of this year, the first fat to go was my waist. Miracles. Straight up organic miracle. I felt no bloating anymore and quite frankly, I feel snatched. 😁 FYI I eat a lot of organic veggies and fish. My meat consumption has lessened lately. My scale says 123 but I feel strong and energized.   • Drink more water. Water is vital for our bodies to function properly. Staying hydrated is also a good way to keep yourself from snacking and over eating at meals. Try keeping a reusable water bottle with you at all times. You'll drink a lot more if it's in front of you.
