  • If you’ve been around my world for a while, you know that I recently had a confetti-worthy check-up with my oncologist. My health is strong and I don't have to get another scan for 3-5 years! 🎉

This news prompted an outpouring of love and support from all of you (thank you!)...and so many questions. Lots of folks are looking for ways to feel better, no matter their current health situation and wanted to know what advice I could give them.

  • DONE IS BETTER THAN PERFECT ::
That’s what my friend and coach @kimdanger tells me all the time. WELL!!! IT WASN’T PRETTY, it wasn’t easy, it wasn’t what I wanted to do, but it’s done.
.
Today was difficult.
Today was tough.
Today I felt, I feel, like calling it quits.
I’m tired.
I’ve gotten very little sleep.
I’m emotional.
I feel ineffective.
I feel disappointed.
I feel vulnerable but I’ve always said I would be honest here.
.
Tough days don’t just “go away” because we’ve made progress. In fact, I’ve most often found that it’s exactly at the edge of breakthrough when the voices of doubt, discouragement even shame come knocking the loudest.
.
Urg it makes me mad! 🤬
.
I wish it could be one and done.
Learn the lesson and move on.
Loss the pounds to have them never return.
Gain the muscle and it never atrophies.
Build the mindset and it’s never tested.
Strengthen your resolve and it’s never dilutable.
.
Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way: or at least I’ve never know life to work that way.
.
All I know,
That I know that I know,
Is that we always have a choice.
.
I could easily [EASILY] go choose to binge right now (because we all know ice cream and donuts make everything “better”). But that’s not REALY what I want.
.
What I want is to FEEL like doing all the things. I want to FEEL empowered and strong and KNOW I’m making a difference and some days let’s just face it, we won’t FEEL like it.
.
So... my choice will be this.
Do all the things anyway. Do the things I know are good for me despite how I feel. Because making that decide today gets me one day closer to the things I want the most; those long term things.
.
Easy? Nope.
Does that mean I still don’t want to binge? Nope.
Does it mean the thoughts are gone? Nope.
It’s still a choice.
Fingers crossed tomorrow will be better 🤞

  • Hey you all! Here is the pt. 1 for eye strengthening exercises. Now I want to give a quick little disclaimer on sunning. This is not staring at the sun. Do not do that. This is simply closing your eyes and moving the indirect light from the sun on both of your eyes for brief fractions of a second (hence moving your head from side to side). Do this in the early morning or late evening when the UV index is nearing 0 to avoid harming yourself. If it hurts, you are likely doing it wrong or pushing yourself too far. This is a not a race! You can do this for 30 seconds to 3 minutes if you are just starting out. This will help recondition your photoreceptors as many of our eyes have become weak from staying indoors staring at screens all of the time. Our eyes have evolved to take in indirect sunlight so we are actually doing a disservice by staying indoors too much.

I have fallen soooooooo so so deeply in love with myself because of you. 
I’ve loved so hard. Learned so much. Became a version of myself that my younger self could’ve only dreamed of. 
I know for sure that my journey will lead me back to you, - to my tribe that I’ve gained in the city, i love y’all so much. I can’t even begin to explain the amount of sadness but incredible excitement that I’m feeling right now.

I saved up the money I got from my own high school graduation and bought a little Canon Rebel so I could become a rockstar photographer traveling all over the world! 🌟⁣⁣

Business started booming but I had no idea how to outsource and scale!⁣⁣

I didn’t say no to anybody and it left me completely burned out - so much that after wedding season was over, I didn’t pick up my camera until 4 years later.⁣⁣

I spent a bunch of money on a fancy website, T-shirt’s, and photoshoots. 👚⁣⁣

Without knowing how to monetize, I burned out pretty quickly.⁣⁣

But! I discovered that I loved planning out my IG feed, creating content, and connecting with people. 👯‍♀️⁣⁣

I learned that having a way to monetize is important as well as knowing when to scale and outsource to protect from burnout. ⁣⁣

  • Just over 1 year ago, I nervously got on a live call with a lady I didn’t know and who didn’t even live in the same country as me- @crystaldburchfield. She had seen a FB post I’d shared during the tail end of my #eatingdisorderrecovery from my 7 year struggle with an #ed where I shared about my new mission in life- help other women heal like I had #recoveryispossible .
We chatted for well over an hour & i remember listening to Crystal share her passion for faith and #naturalfamilyliving with essential oils- and there was an instant connection💕 Crystal was sharing about a way of life that seemed like a dream to me but one I really felt called to.
.
I couldn’t get the image of the life that Crystal had painted for me out of my mind, and I knew that I had to learn more about this business and understand just how essential oils could be at the root of how neither Crystal nor her husband worked a 9-5 job, they had several kids -a couple of whom were homeschooling-  and they seemed totally and ultimately fulfilled.

Back then I had absolutely ZERO understanding of concepts like team leadership in business, time leverage, facebook/instagram, social media marketing, companies with a mission/purpose, or essential oils and how they could support ED recovery✖️…...
.
….All I knew was that I needed to make a change or else I’d just keep working part/full time at empty jobs, not be able to #travel when I wanted to with my hubby, not be able to be #stayathomemom, not be able to go back to school if I wanted, not be able to foster a child one day, and most of all I needed to make a change because otherwise I’d be ignoring my call to service.
.
Not only have these little bottles of loveliness given me a whole toolkit to help people heal from their eating disorders and issues around food and body image (just like I did), they’ve also allowed me to learn about switching out toxic products that I was using everyday for 100% natural alternatives (deodorant, makeup, cleaner, etc)
.
I am beyond proud & SO grateful to be building a business full of people who have nothing but ❤️and a deep desire to heal and help others! 👊and get paid while doing it. 💴 .

Bagged up a little of each, to freeze. Sending some home with Mom & Dad when they visit next weekend. ✔
