A small change in our daily habits can help alleviate the suffering of marine animals.
When a whale swam up to this woman and wouldn't leave her alone, she was freaked out — until she realized he was saving her life 🐋💙

First time tried watercolor 🥰
It looks a bit weird but I’ll try to improve next time 😂
Watercolor is such a great tool to express my feelings. I actually really enjoyed working on this painting.
Honestly, I’m really sorry for those who are amazing at watercolor cause this seems to be quite disappointing 😂 but I tried... #watercolor#painting#abstractart#ocean#whale
By @gatorboys_chris End of the day routine, cleaning all the sand off my pants before heading home after a long day of shows. I try to not have my house turn into a sandbox after being covered in sand all day with the gators, so I always rinse all the sand off and Zilla always comes over with a gnarly feeding response trying to eat me. Such a friendly boy. He has a bad feeding response, always has, but if you just pick him up and handle him he is very calm and gentle. At the end I did a quick touch of the teeth to demonstrate the jaw power. Fast hands or no hands in this game.

This is @jmajiski, a biologist, artist, and wilderness guide. In her hand is the still-oily vertebrae of a Cuvier's beaked whale that died over 60 years ago.
Joyce is using this skeleton as a reference model to build a replica out of styrofoam. The styrofoam skeleton is meant to bring attention to how “we have lost sight of the need to reduce our consumption. The styrofoam and plastic speak to our throw-away society, the critical need to divert materials from the landfill,” says Joyce.
However, the work with the beaked whale is just a test run. Joyce has her sights on the skeleton of a humpback whale and plans on recreating it from ocean waste recovered by @theoceanlegacy. The humpback installation will be 30 feet long and hung at the Yukon Arts Centre in Whitehorse for three months opening in December 2020.
Once upon a time TECATE
I have some weird taste, like interest in abandoned buildings with advertising in them, the older and the more damaged they are, the more attractive they are, this one was steps from the calm shore of Sea of Cortez, surrounded by cacti and other deserty vegetation, love the whale art on the decayed wall. FYI paintings of whales are everywhere in this town. #Wallart#whale#TECATE#beer#abandoned#desert#LoretoMexico#TapatioHaf !
💔 [Video] Warning: graphic content. 🔴 “It’s very disgusting and heartbreaking,” Blatchley lamented. “We’ve done necropsies on 61 dolphins and whales in the last 10 years, and this is one of the biggest (amounts of plastic) we’ve seen.” - @newscomauhq | .
“They found 16 rice sacks, 4 banana plantation-style bags and multiple shopping bags during the necropsy.” - @time | .
“A starving whale with 40 kilos (88 pounds) of plastic trash in its stomach has died after being washed ashore in the Philippines.
It’s been described as one of the worst cases of poisoning local conservationists have seen.
The animal died from starvation and was unable to eat because of the trash filling its stomach, said Darrell Blatchley, director of D’ Bone Collector Museum Inc., which helped conduct the examination.
