You guys rock, seriously. I never anticipated my account growing to this size, I only knew I wanted to create content that shared more than just a grip n’ grin. A sweet fish shot is great and all, but show me the journey it took you to get there. It became more about showcasing the adventure to me, not just a highlight reel but being vulnerable with you guys and sharing the messy, real, raw as hell moments too. So thanks for being cool and supporting my little adventure over here in Colorado. For the kind words, support and endless encouragement on all of my posts. ✨ So friends, whether you’ve been following along for years or perhaps just recently started, I want to see which of my insta friends actually even reads my posts! I’d love to hear where you guys are from or just simply say hi! Comment below. I’ll go first, I’m based out of Basalt, Colorado! (Photo: @_genevieve.cs_ ) @stiomountain@waderods@frdmgear@postflyinc
I knew I was going to whack em on a swim jig, because last year I did. However, I quickly came to find that the water was up 3-4’, the grass was overgrown, and as a result the water had some color. ⠀
That meant my bite that I had so dialed this time last year wasn’t going to play. ⠀
It took me a few hours to adapt. But when I finally found the depth I wanted, it was a cake walk. ⠀
Sometimes adapting means working a spinner bait along grass edges on a wind blown flat, other times it calls for skipping a caffeine shad through the door and into the kitchen. Literally. #fishwasntskippingmeals

I admire @_kendalljones_ more than I can really put into words. She has a heart of gold and is driven as hell. She uses her platform to educate people even though she is scrutinized for her lifestyle. She is always giving back, always thinking of new ways to help others, and always putting other first. I am beyond grateful to have gone on this trip with a great friend and role model, who teaches me things and inspires me daily. I can’t wait to go back!
Genetic analysis of mallard broods has shown that many clutches include eggs that were fertilized by different drakes. Biologists speculate that hens may actually seek multiple mates to ensure their clutches will be successfully fertilized. This behavior also produces greater genetic variation among broods.
I thought @brettmlynar was crazy when he packed a pair of cheap ski goggles on a late season elk hunt last year. When the temps dropped below zero and the wind started blowing down the mountain he looked pretty goofy but at least he could see!
Olivia’s face says it all. We made it through to the knockout round here at Redcrest!! Fishing tomorrow against 9 other anglers including my boy . Let’s see if we can’t work some magic and slide into the top 5 to make it to the championship round.
What’s the largest combined weight you have in a single photo of two bass? We’re headed into the weekend double fisting already - have fun and be safe!! •
