Kissos, Taburno Falanghina 2008, Cantine Tora.
This wine has a "chewable nose", immediately calls for tasting with sweet notes of broom, almond, candied citrus fruits but above all the pear, which predominates leaving it long in the glass.
The intense bouquet is not betrayed by the taste. Soft, warm and with vibrant acidity, it causes a pleasant tingling on the tongue. These characteristics make it absolutely suitable for a pairing with cheese, we have tried it with Casera (from Valtellina): the harmony in the mouth is perfect.
Cuvee Bois is vinified and aged “sur lie” for 11 months in French oak with “batonnage”. Nice golden yellow colour, followed by a great nose - banana, candied citrus- and an unmistakable toasted oak flavour.

ORANGE CRUSH ALERT: 🧡 This past weekend I tried @troupis_winery Hoof & Lur skin contact Moschofilero, spontaneous yeast fermented, unfiltered. This wine is amazing! There are beautiful floral notes that scream white, yellow flowers and citrus blossom. There’s also a wonderful delicate citrus component as well. I think it reminds me of tangerine. This wine is well balanced with a medium finish. I bought this for under $30 @courtliquors this is a great buy! 🧡

How incredible was the weather this long weekend?! It felt like the beginning of Rosé season that's for sure!
I never thought I would say this but I got absolutely roasted by the UK sun this weekend (& I'm embarrassed to admit this coming from a sun-seasoned kiwi!)
Safe to say a whole lot of this LIV Vinho Verde Rosé was consumed over the 4 day long weekend... the most refreshing, crisp drop, bursting with strawberries and a lovely mineral finish - the absolute perfect accompaniment to the almost summer weather.
What was your tipple of choice over the weekend?
People eat seasonally, and so they drink seasonally, too. Spring has sprung, and weve made a subconscious shift to lighter, more chilled and refreshing choices. You can see the difference in your yard, on the plate, in the glass, etc. It's all part of the cycle of life and its steady rhythm, that we're subtly dancing to.
