Second time tasting this beauty in about a year. Look at the color guys, stunningly clear and the wine was so fresh! I’ve heard about a lot of premox at BdM, but until now, never had any off or faulty bottle. Tasting notes are similar to last time. A lot of fresh yellow and exotic fruits. Some butter and pop corn. The whole thing shows complexity but never too rich nor overwhelming. Super fresh and lively with bright acidity. Good texture and fat but remains airy and shows good minerals. Damn, how long can this be aged? Still way too early. Great terroir and winemaker. Hope you have a great Sunday guys! Cheers!

If it wasn’t already abundantly clear to you how beautiful and cool and hip Mother Nature is, just remember that she also gives us wine. Let’s show our girl a little love today. 👏🏼
Stoney Rise Gruner Veltliner. This might in fact be my first GV.
Lemons and white pepper on the nose, along with sharp green apple and green melon, almost a bitter melon suggestion. Some pear on the palate, and more spicy, saline cider flavour, and a pithy, talc texture. Quite moorish, something different and really enjoyable.
🍾🥩🥂Beef Tartare, egg, local olive oil & fresh shaved #blacktruffles Simple in the most satisfying way! Alongside, was an absolute treasure we uncovered. This 2002 Louis Dousset Blanc de Noirs was really something else. Rich, robust with spice & romancing effervescence. Everything we hoped for from this vintage & wine- even took it to go. 😉🚘🥤With little produced, hope we find it again.🤞🏼 #bolgheri#toscana#italy#champagne

📝 the story of @ornellaiawinery :
It was in 1981 that the Marquis Lodovico Antinori, founded the Tenuta Ornellaia, in the heart of the Bolgheri area. With the first vintage of 1985, what became an icon among the SuperTuscan: the "Ornellaia" was born.
With the inauguration of the company, Michel Rolland, begins to take care of the technical part of the cellar. Subsequently, in the 90s the other two labels were born: "Le Volte" and "Le Serre Nuove". At the beginning of 2000, Robert Mondavi acquired the estate, then ceded 50% to the Marchesi de 'Frescobaldi, which will purchase the other 50% only three years later. A cellar to which the credit goes to have written part of the history of Bolgheri. With almost a hundred hectares of vineyards, Tenuta Ornellaia has always focused on one and the same objective: quality.

2017 Edith and Ida Chardonnay, Mendocino: Aromas of ground cherries and white flowers. This wine is light to medium bodied with flavors of citrus, pears, and flint. The finish is long and tingly with acid and salt.

“You can decide how long you choose to let negative things affect you. You can halt words of self-doubt + replace them with words of self-love. You can let go of yesterday + start fresh at any given moment. It all starts and ends with you. Your MINDSET is your compass. It directs you along a path that mimics your thoughts + habits. Manifest good things by THINKING good things because eventually, those thoughts become HABITS + those habits become your LIFESTYLE. Your mind, your choice.”
Happy for the girl who decided to no longer let those negative thoughts in her mind (even though sometimes they still creep in). She built a habit and made it a lifestyle. April 2018 ➡️ April 2019. Still working on molding my mind to be better but we’re never perfect. Making an effort is what moves you forward and will get you where you want to go. Let me know if you need help finding your outlet and finding a lifestyle that is sustainable and WORKS 💕 #transformationtuesday
Isn’t it amazing how different wine is to every person?
I have never realised how deep and creative the world of wine is until I started to study it professionally. “A wine goes in my mouth, ans I just see it. I see it in three dimensions. The textures. The flavours. The smells. They just jump out of me. I can taste with a hundred screming kids in a room. Whe I put my nose in a glass, it’s like tunnel vision. I move into another world, where everything around me is just gone, and every bit of mental energy is focused on that wine.”
–Robert M. Parker Jr.
Beautiful love-affair…. I used to wonder how is that professional wine tasters have hundreds of words to describe the aroma, bouquet, flavour and taste… They put so many emotions into it. Now I have a deeper understanding of the wine and a stronger vocabulary that I am happy to share with other wine tasters and this community, but most of the people around me are still not sure how can I smell or taste all those crazy descriptors. It’s about memory and associations mixed with anticipation and personal preferences that all create this powerful perception in us.
Yet no one smells exactly the same thing in wine, even when we categorise the aromas. It’s super personal and experiential.
Salute!😉😋 [EN] My first Torcolato Di Breganze.
Of an amazing yellow between gold and amber, this wine from dried Vespaiola grapes introduces itself to the nose with clear notes of raisins, honey, dried figs and, despite his young age, I also found tertiaries that slightly reminded me of solvents.
Enters determinate in the mouth, supported by a beautiful acidity and goes down with pleasure, leaving a good persistence behind.
