Type 1 Fun! Monday night saw me heading up into the mountains for a hike, bagging five munros before sunset and then sleeping on the fifth one. I’ve slept in and around many mountains in my life, but it’s pretty rare to get the chance to sleep on top. It was magical. 🏔⭐️
Up early for a sunrise coffee, then trekked back down to the carpark on time to start my day, like a regular person but with grass in my hair.☕️
I didn’t consider myself to be very stressed (just busy, in a good way), so it was remarkable just how relaxed I felt throughout my day after just one night in nature. I definitely don’t do nights like this often enough when I’m home, and especially not when I’m busy, but I think I need to make nature more of a priority in my life! 🌲💚 #uncovertheuncommon#WomeninAdventure@stanceeurope
This is a totally unplanned, accidental capture of what happens when something touches my leg. Spoiler - it was a big stick! Made me laugh when looking through my photos, so thought it might make you laugh too. Double dip day, waterfall plunging and Babes Swim this eve. The Lake District in the springtime - what could be better. Whenever I am feeling I am out of sorts, I must remember to go to the water. I felt immediately rejuvenated as I sunk into the River Cocker tonight. Long drive, long day, rewarded with long soak. Bluebells, wild garlic, cuckoo and birdsong - all my senses with stimulated. Now time for bed. #lakedistrict@keswickfestival#crummock
Today I did some solo exploring. It was wonderful. This trip has been nothing like it was planned to be. It’s also felt very strange. I’ve been staying in a hotel I used to stay in at least once a year when I was in a full-time corporate job. It’s been a bit like visiting a ghost ship. It’s familiar, there are dusty memories, shadows and shards of light. But it’s definitely not my voyage anymore. It was good to swim in an ancient gorge around the large boulders and reflect how far I’ve come. #swimsnowdonia#fairyglen#betwsycoed
It’s Wetsuit & Wheel of Wellbeing Wednesday! 😊💦🐳 Moving joyfully in the sea, having fun, saying thank you by doing a #2minutebeachclean after wild swimming back in the spring ..... Lots of little bits of plastic that collect amongst the seaweed at the shoreline.💙🧜♀️🌿 There is so much research on the impact of nature and water & the oceans to lift our souls, heal & benefit us physically & mentally. 💦🐳 Just look at the wonderful stories on @sportingheads website ... 💦
I’m not sure when exactly it happened, but there came a point where after spending enough time outside doing the things I loved a visible sense of comfortable and confidence came over me.
It’s that moment when you relax into your trip and let out a sigh as you think “I’ve got this”, or comes with the all too familiar pains of putting your pack on the morning after a carry a heavy load, and knowing you wouldn’t have it any other way. It’s knowing what you are in for, even if that’s a wild unknown ride. It’s knowing you can handle whatever comes your way. It’s self confidence, and it looks so dam good on. #happyplace
An incredibly big thank you must go out to the @wonderfulwildwomen, in particular @sarah_gerrish for organising the full day take over of the main stage. We have had nothing but amazing comments about all of the talks that happened throughout the day, all of our festival goers left feeling inspired! so a big thanks to... @cal_major, @bekit90, @rosafowkes@mrsgowherescotland@healthyhappy50@sarahrixham@the_horseback_adventurer, @memoillustration and any others that it wont let me tag!
If you loved what they were doing, head on over to their facebook page where you'll find all the details of the awesome events they have coming up, including a summer solstice yoga practice this Thursday, a guided MTB ride, social run and a wild work out - and that's only over the next week!!

Happy Father’s Day!
Sad not to be at the beach with my Dad today, @icyfoote has gone off to Devon without me, so I hope the sun is shining. We have done many great swims together and hope to do many more!
Today will be tough for some, those who long to be Dads, those with tricky relationships, those who can’t be with their children and those missing their Dads. Sending love to all. #fathersday#swimmingdad#fathersanddaughters
Apa alasanmu mendaki ? 🍃
