  • Cut out, file and sand, go to the hardware store to get a perfectly sized dowel and washer to keep the back bezel from bending, remove some material on the inside of the bend and finally raise the tabs. Can’t set until I make the rest of the setting and the bale #jewelrydesign #rosequartz #workinprogress

  • Here are the steps for doing a proper warm up every time.
Eat and Drink. First thing's first, you need to make sure you've had food and water at least a few hours before working out. ...
Loosen Your Joints and Muscles. You want to make sure your body is loose before you jump into a warm up. ...
Get Your Heart Pumping1.... 5 minute cool down on Recumbent Bike or your choice of cardio machine. Some other examples of warm-up exercises are leg bends, leg swings, shoulder/ arm circles, jumping jacks, jumping rope, lunges, squats, walking or a slow jog, yoga, torso twists, standing side bends, lateral shuffle, butt kickers, knee bends, and ankle circles.5 Tips for the Perfect Warm-Up
Dynamic Mobility. Dynamic mobility is the body's ability to move in multiple directions safely. ...
Movement-Specific Preparation. You turn on your car before heading out for a drive. ...
Increase Core Temperature. It's called a “warm-up” for good reason. ...
Proprioceptive Awareness. ...
Joint Integrity. There are 3 types of stretches: ballistic, dynamic, and static:
1-Ballistic Stretches involve bouncing or jerking. ...
2-Static Stretches involve flexing the muscles. ...
3-Dynamic Stretching involves moving the body part in the desired way until reaching the full range of motion, to improve performance. As a general rule, stretch whenever you exercise. If you don't exercise regularly, you may want to stretch at least three times a week to maintain flexibility. If you have a problem area, such as tightness in the back of your leg, you may want to stretch every day or even twice a day.It is very important that you perform the general warm-up before you stretch. It is not a good idea to attempt to stretch before your muscles are warm (something which the general warm-up accomplishes). Warming up can do more than just loosen stiff muscles; when done properly, it can actually improve performance.

  • Hulkzilla over here decided it was a good idea to tweak the right side of her back. So today was spent treadmill walking, foam rolling, and doing light chest/shoulder work. The human body is a crapbag sometimes....-

When injured, it’s important to be smart and listen to your body. Most of the time, we all know the difference between pain that can be worked through and pain that requires us to take it easy for a while. I’m really bad at taking it easy. Probably the worst actually. But a few days of lighter activity won’t kill me or derail any progress.-

My leggings are from 1st Phorm’s Winter Performance Collection. They are really comfortable and flattering in the 🍑 area. I’m literally obsessed with this entire line that they just released a few weeks ago. The link in my Instagram bio will get you free shipping!-

Louis was pouting because he couldn’t go snowmobiling with his daddy. Such a tiny baby...-

  • After so many years as an artist, and coming from a house full of other artists, it’s crazy to think that I’ve never had a dedicated space for creating. Some weeks back I mentioned my desire to organize my supplies and it all came from the frustration of taking longer to look for what I needed than actually being able to create. I had gotten so used to living out of different containers that were hidden in various parts of my space, looking for them and then having to spread them out on the dining room table and of course making a total mess. I think we’ve probably all been there as artists! But I finally said enough! These weeks have been tiresome but so rewarding in just being able to dust off old supplies that I haven’t used in years (most of my work is digital) and seeing how good and valuable they still are. And how. Many. Of. Them. There. Are! So there’s still more to be done but I’m happy to say that my Art/Sewing Studio is open today just in time for #sewingsunday 🧵! And I will thoroughly enjoy it on my day off! #artist #designer #artstudio #sewingstudio #craftroom #artorganization #craftorganization #sewingsupplies #artheaven #create #maker #sewist #artistsspace #artbin #supersatchel #workinprogress

  • Hola, hola chicos!

  • Painting watercolor lines can be so therapeutic. And peeling the tape off to reveal those crisp, clean edges is so satisfying. Have you tried it? I need to decide what I’m going to do to finish this piece. What do you think, find a quote or do a silhouette of trees or mountains? Let me know below! 👇
