We basically doubled our downstairs patio yard today!!! I wish I had a better before picture, but I mean who doesn't want to see the pretty snow we had last week? Where you see dirt and no grass, imagine huge (I mean huge!) bushes and trees that took up an enormous amount of space. We still have some work to do, but I can't wait to see how it will look this summer! Thank you to my wonderful husband for "going with me" on my crazy adventure today. We both feel so much better, proud of ourselves... and sore, extremely sore.
Cut out, file and sand, go to the hardware store to get a perfectly sized dowel and washer to keep the back bezel from bending, remove some material on the inside of the bend and finally raise the tabs. When injured, it’s important to be smart and listen to your body. Most of the time, we all know the difference between pain that can be worked through and pain that requires us to take it easy for a while. I’m really bad at taking it easy. Probably the worst actually. But a few days of lighter activity won’t kill me or derail any progress.-

After so many years as an artist, and coming from a house full of other artists, it’s crazy to think that I’ve never had a dedicated space for creating. Some weeks back I mentioned my desire to organize my supplies and it all came from the frustration of taking longer to look for what I needed than actually being able to create. I had gotten so used to living out of different containers that were hidden in various parts of my space, looking for them and then having to spread them out on the dining room table and of course making a total mess. I think we’ve probably all been there as artists! But I finally said enough! These weeks have been tiresome but so rewarding in just being able to dust off old supplies that I haven’t used in years (most of my work is digital) and seeing how good and valuable they still are. And how. Many. Of. Them. There. Are! So there’s still more to be done but I’m happy to say that my Art/Sewing Studio is open today just in time for #sewingsunday 🧵!
