In a postcard frame of mind. Or perhaps it's a frame of a postcard mind? Love playing within this small format, it's both restricting and liberating all at once. Winter is the time we get to see the complex and characteristic structure of trees. Drawn from pages in my daily drawing diary. Each card 14x22cm. Pencil on monoprint and collage. #postcardart#drawingtrees#pencilonpaper#workonpaper#monoprint
Caught between all the things I love to make. Still searching after all these years to define my style... Abstract, floral, architectural, mixed media, galaxy, trees, painting, printing, collage, landscape.... Is color my tie that keeps it all together? I come back to the question of finding my voice over and over again and just when I think I know the answer I can definitively say I don't. But I know without a doubt that this will be a topic we dive deep into in coming year with the True Colors Art Program™ because my intention all along was to help you find your True Colors! 😘 #experiencetruecolors
#atipografia#ecumene#stefanomariozatti#artistinresidency#workonpaper#wopartfair#lugano#wopart2019#contemporaryart#art#photography#mountain#astronomia
today’s woman artist you’ve never heard of: Eleanor Finch. in the late 1940’s, wanting for beautiful wrapping paper and finding nothing suitable, she started her own company, Finch Handprints, which produced handmade, silk-screened wrapping paper. a graduate of Pratt, she had supervised the state craft program in Connecticut after WWII, hiring craftspeople to carry out public works projects, before starting her business in the basement of her 18th century farmhouse. these gouache designs are just a few of the many wrapping paper designs we have by Finch. ———————————————————————— #art#design#craft#women#womenartists#womenindesign#wrappingpaper#1950s#postwardesign#paper#workonpaper#color#gift#giftwrap#risdmuseum
