  • High volume triceps workout to roast those chicken tenders 🍗 👀

1️⃣Close grip dumbbell press 4x10 (This is a good variation for people who suffer from wrist pain and can’t do close grip bench press. Keep your elbows tucked in close to your body and push straight up!)
2️⃣Dumbbell skull crushers 4x10 (I prefer to keep my elbows back instead of vertical, this ensures you’re not losing tension in the fully extended position)
3️⃣Cable pushdown 4x12 (Keep your upper arm steady and retracted, don’t let them come in front of you)
4️⃣Single arm “across the body” cable extension 4x12 (Same goes for this one, keep your upper arm steady)

  • On the road again today. 🚌 
This has got to be the hardest goodbye yet and it’s left me a little speechless. From the moment we met @kath.kalijo gave me the biggest hug I’ve had in a very long time, brought us into her home and was the perfect example of come as you are and we will welcome and love you. ❤️

As we get ready to head back to city life in Victoria I’m looking forward to all the people we still have to meet but will miss the magic of this place and people. 👫✨

  • I wasn't gonna post this until I had added more workout moves but my burpees looked way too much like a lil bunny for me not to post this at the end of the Easter bank hol weekend. 🐇 (also the cover shot made me laugh too much for me not to post). ANYWAYS, after a long ass day in the library I wanted to MOVE MA BODAY - so I combined some of my fave upper bod barbell exercises with some funky cardio in the form of burpees, mountain climbers, press ups and sit-ups with a plate (had to be really careful with my poorly kneedoing cardio but it hung in there - think its maybe slowly getting better now that I've been making a real effort to do single leg leg-presses etc to try strengthen it YAY🙌) - I'll film more weighted & cardio mix-up workouts for y'all next time I train (my dad had cooked chicken for my dinner so I could only do a mini gym sesh tonight cos dat chicken was on my mind so had to get home ha) 🐓

  • This last 50 seems to be so hard to get off. I’m not even in a rush tho... but I fear getting to comfortable and not pushing like I have been. It’s like I’m so close but I’m scared I’m not gonna hit the goal like the last time. This is “the slump” for me. Idk what additional motivation I need or what changes need to happen but I’m hoping this will pass sooner than later. But I know one thing IM NOT GIVING UP .... even if I slow down ... I will never stop. I’ve come to far and invested too much. Just wanted to share with ya’ll the struggle .... my struggle these days! .

Sorry I’ve been gone for a few days, I was losing motivation to film my workouts, but I am back!! This one targeted all of the leg! A good one to start the week with after not doing legs since last Monday oops. I’m noticing that I’m increasingly getting obsessed with trying variations of movements and reps. Since I’m not using heavy weights (for back squats, leg press, dls, etc), I have to do more reps or increase my TUT to really feel my muscles working. Doing more leg days with lighter weights but more reps/TUT has been shaping my legs more than when I just do heavy lifts, and honestly not mad bout it! Heavier lifts are great for gaining strength, but the change has been nice. I’ll be back to heavy leg days soon.

on tonight’s dinner menu 💯👏🏻 If you’ve been following along in my stories, you know that there’s been a major cauli gnocchi shortage in DC over the past month, so I was excited to find out that my mom has been hoarding three bags of it in her freezer (no cauli gnocchi shortage problems in Boise! 🙌🏻) Cooked up two bags for the fam tonight (there’s a crispy gnocchi tutorial in my stories), and paired it with grilled asparagus (topped with parmesan — always!) and honey garlic chipotle salmon for an easy dinner ☺️. -

#whatsonmyplate: honey garlic chipotle salmon 👉🏻👉🏻*recipe* 1) in a bowl, combine 1 tbsp. honey (I used manuka), 1/4 tsp. chipotle chili powder, 1 tbsp. melted ghee or butter, a punch or salt + a punch of pepper. Spread evenly over two 4-6 oz. salmon filets (you can easily double this to serve four). 2) in a pan, heat 1 tsp. ghee or oil for a minute; add salmon filets, skin side up, and sear for 3 mins.; flip, and cook an additional 3-4 mins. 🌶🍯 •• crispy cauliflower gnocchi (there’s a tutorial for this in my stories) •• grilled asparagus topped with fresh parmesan cheese 🌱👌🏻.

My mom and I started our Christmas shopping tonight 🎁 (my goal: to NOT be a last minute shopper this year, as I have been every year of my adult life 😬), and now we’re working on finalizing our thanksgiving shopping list for tomorrow 🦃 before I head back out to meet a friend for a drink 🍹.     on tonight’s dinner menu 💯👏🏻 If you’ve been following along in my stories, you know that there’s been a major cauli gnocchi shortage in DC over the past month, so I was excited to find out that my mom has been hoarding three bags of it in her freezer (no cauli gnocchi shortage problems in Boise! 🙌🏻) Cooked up two bags for the fam tonight (there’s a crispy gnocchi tutorial in my stories), and paired it with grilled asparagus (topped with parmesan — always!) and honey garlic chipotle salmon for an easy dinner ☺️. -

    #whatsonmyplate : honey garlic chipotle salmon 👉🏻👉🏻*recipe* 1) in a bowl, combine 1 tbsp. honey (I used manuka), 1/4 tsp. chipotle chili powder, 1 tbsp. melted ghee or butter, a punch or salt + a punch of pepper. Spread evenly over two 4-6 oz. salmon filets (you can easily double this to serve four). 2) in a pan, heat 1 tsp. ghee or oil for a minute; add salmon filets, skin side up, and sear for 3 mins.; flip, and cook an additional 3-4 mins. 🌶🍯 •• crispy cauliflower gnocchi (there’s a tutorial for this in my stories) •• grilled asparagus topped with fresh parmesan cheese 🌱👌🏻.

I have received this question throughout client check ins and DMs; “what do I do I overate over the weekend? Is there anything I should change?” NO‼️ When people fall off track (and I have been there) there is this collective thought that you should do crazy amount of cardio and cut carbs like it’s your job. Let me remind you your body does not betray you if you have 1 or even 2 untracked days where you consumed more calories than planned. So my answer to this questions is change nothing. Get right back to the plan and that’s it. You didn’t gain any body fat (it’s just water weight or you need to 💩)

Life update: still interviewing for post-grad jobs, I am working on my next guide starting this weekend, a puppy is in my very near future, school is crushing me, I lifted shoulders today and it was fabulous, I am choosing to be positive bc the negative vibes are exhausting. .

  • It's a HAPPY HAPPY #MONDAY 😃 because this is a new #upperbody #homeworkout that uses #noequipments ! I've put in a modification for (almost) every exercise so you can put in the work even if you are beginner! .
Im soo sore from the combined effect of last nights & this morning's workout and it hurts to even sit at my work desk!! I also want to take a #vacay so bad, but let's not get distracted. We've got #goals to hit. Lets do this.. .
🔥 Warm up -  3x 100 skip rope or 3x 20 jumping jacks. .
🎥5 rounds - ✔️Inchworm to pushup - 10 reps - you can do full pushup or a modified knee pushup.

✔️Plank Walks - 20 'walks' - You can also do these on your knees.

✔️Reverse Plank Hold - 45 sec.
.
✔️Commandos - 12 - alternating between low/high plank. Put one knee down if this gets too hard.

✔️Tricep Dips - 15 reps.

✔️Bicycle crunches - 30 - yes this does target the core, but it can also be felt in the shoulders!
