How spontaneous are you? Does your heart leap and truly go with the flow? Are you free spirited ! I realize that I tend to be generally more cautious as I determine every action with its consequence unfolding like a dramatic story in the chambers of the mind😂. However these past few days in Montenegro encouraged me to be more spontaneous and playful 💕 With the patient encouragement of @ashvinder_kaur and @dblexander , I managed to swim in the dark waters of the Kotor bay at 2am under a full moon starlit sky- something that I have never ventured to do! So I ask the question- how freely do we all live and love? How spontaneous can we be to live life a little! Of course most of us organized folks will find this quite difficult and challenging. I realize everyday that it can actually be a lot of fun, not to plan, not to over think of every move, not to build high walls! Given that every choice comes with consequences, here’s to living life to the fullest and making wiser choices and having a little spark of unexpected joy on the way. What about you? Life will give you a few bad moments every now and then.
That’s just the way things are, and at the end of the day we grow from every experience we get.
Sometimes our instinct tells us that we need to bury these emotions or hide from them.
Our mind always doing its best to keep itself from discomfort and we end up suffering far longer and far deeper than otherwise, so instead of turning away from the emotions you don’t want to face, just slowly turn towards the experience.

This is a handstand. This is not advanced yoga. It’s not yoga at all, actually.
That’s not to say handstands aren’t yoga, because they certainly are and can be. Let me explain: This posture wasn’t part of a serious, larger practice in service of sadhana. Quite the contrary it was performed for the exclusive purpose of a photograph. Peak spiritual!
But that hasn’t stopped Instagram culture from propagating the bullshit nonsense that shitty gymnastics is somehow advanced yoga. It’s not.
Understand there is no hierarchy in asana, no system of more or less advanced or spiritually refined poses.
A handstand practiced without a searing, clarifying inward gaze is just shitty gymnastics and moves you no closer to the true purpose and work of the yoga. The same is true of any posture.
So take heart if you can’t perform all the plainly ridiculous postures you see yogabros performing on this and other platforms, because they could be assholes while you’re doing the real work of the practice in Child’s Pose.

Day Six: Bennu Bird in my twenty years of yoga practice and my 500 hr ryt this has never come up. It really is mythological. Bennu is said to mean “rise” or “shine” and that this bird’s cry marked the beginning of creation and of time making it the god of time where hours, days, nights, months and years were derived. Interesting. And I am still catholic ✝️ #jesus .

Balance is a funny thing. I am not the best at balancing and I have to work 10x harder to keep still than to do dynamic flows. I have always prided myself in my strength but bloody hell is standing on one leg hard!

Don't mind my sandy booty 🙈😭 Crow Pose is a relatively new part of my sequencing! I am still working up the courage to soar higher. Mentally, I am ready. Physically, I am still in the stage of attempt. Tips for this pose is to look 3 feet ahead and engage your lovely core!! The length of hold is less important to me than the concentration it takes to get there. Do you soar high in your crow pose, or are you still on your way, like me? 🐦🐦🐦 •

Expandirme es un acto incómodo, se denotan todo tipo de pensamientos de inadecuación cuando me quiero estirar, ya sea emocional o físicamente.
Es cuando aparecen preguntas en mi cabeza que me quieren boicotear, como: ¿Quién se cree que es para querer brillar, expandirse o crecer?.
Pero entiendo que el #Universo me hace sentir incómoda no para molestarme, si no para que logré expandirme, para sacarme de lugares en donde no pertenezco, o donde no voy a tener un crecimiento personal.
Yoga NO solo es #Flexibilidad , pero si he aprendido algo al momento de las asanas de estiramientos, porque me duele elongar en ciertas ocasiones, hay momentos en que logro estirar un poco más el músculo y me surge incomodidad, pero por eso practicó #Ahimsa , y hago lo que puedo. Pero los logros ahí están, se dan poco a poco. Así mismo pasa con la expansión personal. El Universo me recuerda que vaya por más, la vida es limitada en tiempo que no me gane el #Miedo , así le doy la #Bienvenida a la incomodidad que se llama #Crecer . Porque en #Yoga trabajo dentro del #Mat y el resultado lo veo reflejado en mi vida.
