When I started ballet at the age of 14, never thought how rich was going to be in my personal life.
How many emotions have I expressed and experienced dancing? I have cried, laughed, feel anger, nostalgia, felt in love...
Today after 28 years I realize
how productive it is for my profession.
How much It teaches me about the body possibilities.
It opens a door to my creativity skills, team work or space awareness.
But one of the things that really admires me is the endless possibilities of mobility that the body has. Maybe as many as our brain possibilities to connect both hemispheres and create.
When you dance with your body you dance with your mind!

Cómo son nuestras clases de YOGA RESTAURATIVO? 🍃
Es una propuesta suave basada en las posturas de Hatha Yoga donde el objetivo es la relajación, la respiración consciente y lo mas característico de este estilo es el trabajo con diferentes "props" (bloques, mantas, bolsters, cintos de yoga, sillas, etc) y la prolongada permanencia en cada postura.
A partir de los "props" (elementos) se va creando el apoyo suficiente requerido por cada asana logrando que la misma resulte mucho mas cómoda y a la vez produzca un efecto relajante sin realizar esfuerzos extras.
La practica restaurativa busca una relajación profunda a nivel fisico, mental y emocional.
Es apta para principiantes y todos los niveles, conformando ademas un excelente complemento para quienes realizan practicas de yoga mas intensas o exigentes.

Solar Plexus Chakra Flow.
Having trouble making decisions or feeling self confidence? It could be from an imbalance/ blockage in this chakra.
Associated with the color yellow, placed under the ribs and in the diaphragm, the Solar Plexus is known as the Chakra of personal power.
If unattended, it can manifest into a lack of drive, all-consuming fears, anxieties, and eating disorders.
The saying “listen to your gut” has proven to hold truth to it. Keep its’ biome healthy with fermented food & drink, plenty of greens and honoring your gut instinct in daily life.
To activate, envision the Sun shining brightly and be inspired but it’s fiery energy.
Try belly breaths to create space in an area we usually hold dormant. Then create some movement with deep fluid circular breaths and heat within yourself in warrior pose and supported bridge.
Like I’ve said in a past video, it doesn’t have to be all yoga! Your body will show you the way.
The goal is improved confidence, empowerment, and a better connection with self.

Aesthetics vs Feelings in yoga practice |
It took me years of practice to realise, both as a practitioner and as a teacher, that what really matters on the mat is not “how it looks” but “how it feels”. In the asana practice a “one fits all” doesn’t exist, there is no general right or wrong, there is “right for me” “right for you” because it feels good and it’s functional to my/your body.
This complicates things, above all as a teacher. It’s easy to look for the right alignment and give the cues for general adjustments, but it’s challenging to find the right and unique one for each students.
That’s why at the end of the day we are our best teachers, we are the only one aware of how our practice feels and not only of how it looks.
Choosing what feels good over what looks good in my practice has taken a lot of work on my ego, but I’m happy to be where I am now, and I’m happy of the journey that led me here.
In my feed you might see pictures that are aesthetically curated, but that’s not the practice on my mat!
Per molto tempo ho basato la mia pratica sulle regole e gli allineamenti imparati sui libri, sull’estetica delle posizioni, senza fermare a riflettere sul fatto che tutti i corpi sono unici e hanno delle esperienze altrettanto uniche.
Per questi motivi e impossibile pensare di trovare un modo per adattare tutti i corpi alla stessa posa, sono le pose che si devono adattare ai corpi e alle proporzioni.
Come insegnante questo rende tutto più difficile, una vera e propria sfida, ma forse è anche il vero fascino dell’insegnamento. Allo stesso tempo credo che ciò dimostri quanto ognuno di noi sia il proprio miglior insegnante, perché quello che proviamo nella nostra pratica lo sappiamo solo noi e nessuno può spiegarcelo meglio di noi stessi.

TGIT! 🙌🏼 I’m officially on vacay, y’all! We have friends coming in town tomorrow and I’M SO EXCITED. I woke up a little grumpy and sad today, which is not my norm, but you know what, it’s totally normal to feel that way some days so I’m just gonna embrace it and with total transparency, share what I’m feeling right now. I’ll be honest, since we moved here, I haven’t really found girlfriends like I had back home... and that sucks. I love my life here but I miss my bestie girls. I have a lot of great gals here in my life but I’m really missing my girl gang. I want more wine nights, more coffee dates, more girls nights... MORE GIRLFRIENDS. So, if you like all those things, hit me up 🤪 LOL. I think your late 20’s is a hard place to start making friends... does that resonate with anyone else, or just me? Anywho, I’m going to shake this mood off by working out, cleaning the house and getting ready for the sweetest visitors! 🙌🏼

Day 8 of #PeakPoseAsana Handstand - keeping everything in one plane. Mind is conflicted but the drive is strong as becoming a yoga teacher has been a long dream of mine and it aligns with so many of my other life goals and values. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

During the @trainlikeagymnast Fitness Retreat, I was able to lead my first (unofficial) Vinyasa Yoga Flow to the fellow Athletes at the retreat. 🧘🏼♀️💚 Yoga has transformed my life not only physically but also mentally. I continue to watch it do the same for many others, so I wanted to bring the knowledge I have soaked in from my amazing teachers at @vida_hot_yoga to Hawaii in hopes that it could Inspire & Challenge my friends! 🤸🏼♀️I had my friends participate in a short meditation at the end of the flow while listening to one of my favorite songs that is so powerful & resonates so well with what we were all there to work on - personal development & strength in community. Just being able to have that moment while being in the most incredible place on earth was enough to give me goosebumps. 🙏🏼🥺 One of my goals for 2020 is to get my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training Certification so that I can officially continue to spread the gift of Yoga to more and more people. Join Stef Reed for another Yoga workshop at the stunning Studio in Morland.
During this workshop we will be exploring Mindful Movement! ‘What is this?’ You may be thinking to yourself! I’ve always thought we should think of ourselves as machines. Our bodies made up of mechanical parts that should run smoothly and without any hinges (to a degree!). And like any machine, it’s important that we keep our parts well-oiled by lubricating the joints with movement. But being mindful of the intrinsic and magnificent design that makes up our bodies. So that’s when we bring into mind the muscles, ligaments, fascia and so on. The glue that holds us together. With insights into the anatomy of the body in this playful, experimentative workshop we will explore all different types of movement that you can add to your toolbox for maintenance every once in a while!
Expect to laugh, have fun and learn a thing or two.
We will of course, enjoy Cake and refreshments afterwards to refuel! £10 Investment
