These past few days we didn't feel like living at all. Our whole family was devastated after Baby left us. We felt the need to disconnect from our phones and spend time together with our doggies. Thank you all who were worried about us and who tried to cheer us up. We are so grateful for having you in our lives. We will try to catch up with everyone's messages now. 🙏💖💖 .

I made a youtube video a few years ago before my yoga therapy training about squaring the hips in splits. You might have heard that rotating the hips is “cheating” into the posture, and I even said that in the video - but this is not correct. There were other valuable points I made so I kept the video up but intend to redo it.
Keeping the hips square and having your butt on the floor in splits or in pigeon assumes you have that much mobility in your hips, which not everyone does. Some roll their hips open because they are tight and others because that range is not accessible in their joints lest they injure themselves (their low back, hips, and knees).
Keeping the hips square whether or not your rear is on the floor does give you a better linear stretch through the quads and psoas, but it is not the only correct alignment and “cheating” is not the right word; rotating just shows you that the body is trying to adapt around some obstacle. #yogapsa

Kundalini Awakens - I had a riveting #kundaliniawakening experience this week. I have felt disoriented as I adjust to this new level of energy flow. It felt like a rewrite in my brain, a reboot of my system. (A cross between dropping down a 1000 foot waterfall 💦 in total surrender, the electric chair⚡️, the last scene in “Raiders of the Lost Arc”💥, Mr. Toad’s Wild Ride🌈, the experience of pure bliss✨, a natural high🌟.) It’s been to date, a 5 year path of daily practice leading up to this; of detoxifying, serving, surrendering, strengthening, balancing, releasing, opening and deep relaxation, all healing and restoring my body, in all its many layers.
My only previous experience leading up to this was in December when I experienced a release of what I would call ambrosial nectar from my pineal gland area. But I haven’t had any previous concept of this possibility, within or outside of a yoga practice. What an adventure this is!
Any one else out there experience this through a yoga practice?
It was as if my chakra system, in its natural intelligence, fused together into one unified field.
It’s a new frontier in my practice🧘♀️, as I continue on, integrating, honing and honoring this light frequency✨, in sovereignty. On and off my mat, cultivating light balance in my body and weaving this thread of bliss and trust consciously through out the layers of my body (physical, emotional, mental, intellectual, spiritual, social, musical 🎶 ....and external world and every manifested and unmanifested layer of my existence). I feel my brain rerouting and carving out new neural pathways, of surrendering control and protection mechanisms, and moving more into the present moment🕉. (From day one, this was my utmost challenge: letting go of the overthinking conversation in my head and being in that pure place of presence, without worry or judgement of good or otherwise. This kundalini experience came out of a long, sustained state of deep peaceful presence.) Embracing what is. Being tender love with authentic authority. Deeply humbled, I am viscerally feeling my body as a vessel of something more than I have previously experienced. 🙏🏻 #natarajasana

Hi it's Thighs Guys this week....The Yin practice that we will share this week will serve a couple of purposes. Some of the poses will gently massage the digestive organs, which may alleviate gas and improve digestion. Other poses are intended to strengthen the spleen and stomach energy channels. Your spleen is your primary organ for digestion, it sits just behind your stomach on the left side, underneath your diaphragm. Your spleen transforms liquid and food into energy and blood for the body. The spleen meridian runs on the inside of the leg, through the groin and goes up the sides of the body through the diaphragm, chest and heart, ending at the root of the tongue. When your spleen organ is balanced you will experience a good appetite, strong digestion and vibrant energy. When your spleen energy is weak you may experience bloating, reflux, fatigue, diarrhea, and poor appetite. Your stomach meridian runs along the front of the leg and goes up the center sides of the torso through the diaphragm all the way to the nose. You may notice an imbalance in your stomach meridian system if you have digestive and stomach problems from abdominal pain, bloating, or fluid retention. Emotionally stomach meridian imbalances show up as anxiety, worry, mistrust and lack of confidence. When the stomach meridian is balanced you will experience a strong connection with the earth element and strong nurturing qualities along with being fair, open and caring. Optimally we want to balance the energy of both of these organs. So don’t wait for rumblings in the belly to come and join me.

“The Power of Now” is one of the best books I have read in a long time, but I’m reading it very slowly because a lot of the paragraphs have so much to offer, and I really want to digest it all, rather than reading it quickly and forgetting it within a day or a week. I’ve been making notes on my phone of the sentences/paragraphs that I want to be able to re-read all the time. I wanted to share this particular paragraph about waiting: “Waiting is a state of mind. Basically, it means that you want the future; you don’t want the present. You don’t want what you’ve got, and you want what you haven’t got. With every kind of waiting, you unconsciously create inner conflict between here and now, where you don’t want to be, and the projected future, where you want to be. This greatly reduces the quality of your life by making you lose the present.
There is nothing wrong with striving to improve your life situation. You can improve your life situation, but you cannot improve your life. Life is primary. Life is your deepest inner Being. It is already whole, complete, perfect. Your life situation consists of your circumstances and your experiences. There is nothing wrong with setting goals and striving to achieve things.
