The prize is in the process.
The grass is always greener on the other side.
These are things I tell myself all the time, in order to slow down.
I’m always rushing, springing towards a goal.
A goal I believe will somehow give me validation or a sense of purpose.
Sure goals are good, and trust me I have plenty.
But the prize is in the process.
Every damn day is a gift, and this life is so precious.
So I’m going to start walking instead of running.
Tuning into the process rather than the prize.
And just be here now.
‘The way you look is the least interesting thing about you’
Not very long ago I watched a video by @natacha.oceane and she spoke these words. And god how I longed to feel that might be true
And yet when you have believed something so long, and you have found evidence over and over to validate that thought (think magazines, social media etc) as if looking to prove yourself right, it can be hard to believe anything but; to believe your body isn’t the most important thing
But. So. I’m not saying you just stop caring - that like a light it is something that can be switched on or off because you wish you didn’t feel that way. I know that the gap between telling yourself something and actually believing it can sometimes feel so big it’s like trying to convince yourself a the grass is blue
Can we start small?
What makes you remember that your body is not your life’s work? It doesn’t have to be big things or timescales - what I mean here is something much smaller, like moments and seconds. What are you doing? who are you with? When maybe you get a tiny glimpse of what it feels like for your body not to matter
Not in love - just not important - can you think of a time when you feel weightless/ bodiless?
And so can you take hold of this? Anchor onto that feeling. Do more of what builds that feeling and that glimpse of your worth outside of you body size.

It's a beautiful thing to have lungs that allow you to breathe air and legs that allow you to climb mountains. And it's a shame that sometimes we don't realize, that is enough. @awake_spiritual

Why I love the practice? Aside from the more obvious benefits to breathing more intentionally and the physical well-being, it really can be a mirror for how I show up for my life “off the mat.” How do I respond when I feel like I’m losing balance?
Do I hold on tighter or give up?
Do I keep trying to do the same thing over and over again, or quit trying to fit a square peg into a round hole and try something else?
How can I get back to using this practice to build emotional intelligence, integrity, into the rest of life?
How can I LIVE my yoga?
The interesting part is I’ve been practicing less often (temporarily) and really focusing on seeing the “how to” around taking these questions 👆 off my mat...placing myself into scenarios that test balance, test that calm. I’m a big believer in “the quotes are only as good as the actions you take on them.” And I try as much as I can to go out and test that out in less than ideal situations: because it’s always easy when it’s easy but that isn’t growth.
So get out there! Try something new, test your balance, start that side hustle, go get outside of your comfort...and #livemore .

My practice isn’t was it use to be a year ago. I hardly ever have the urge to adventure into deep backbends, oversplits and work for different variations on handstand press. At one point all of those were my fuel and motivation for practicing. I couldn’t wait to get on my mat after work and explore what my body was capable of.
But my practice is something more now. Deeper then any stretch or backbend. 90% of my practice is the practice of my heart. Practicing patience, love, self love, living in alignment with my values, staying honest to myself and other-no matter the cost, going after my dreams, helping others down this same path through my @journey.to.the.soul challenges and community. I crave something much more then poses. I crave the expansion of myself and how I can be a better human. ❤️🙏🏻
How has your practice changed compared to a year ago? What are your focuses? What inspires you to get on your mat? - 📸 @alexzandrapeters

Aislinn macht mit uns heute was schönes.

My toes touched the floor for the first time. This magic moment actually happened in class & Master helped me took many nice photos. The problem was this annoying bulging vein on my temple that I didn’t even know I have and it bothers me 🙈😝 Therefore, I tried again at home & no bulging vein on my temple this time round. Swipe for my attempt 4 weeks ago. Back then my lats were so tight, I couldn’t even move my grip to my ankle. I felt so much tightness in my armpit 😅 Has anyone felt tightness in the armpits before or was it just me? 🤣
My classes won’t be running this Saturday morning 23rd and Tuesday night 26th 💓 sorry for any inconvenience!!
Find me tonight 6pm @starplexgawler and 7:30pm for Platinum Body Yoga 🧘🏽♀️

As we look back on our month long journey across the world we are humbled and full of gratitude for every beautiful soul that made this adventure one we will never forget. From the locals who brightened our days with their smiles or extra initiative to help and support us, to our family coming together with loving open arms to celebrate our love for each other I am taken back and speechless too the amount of gratitude in my heart that I have. I am overflowing with this incredible energy to take all that I have seen and learned and apply it to my life and the more souls that I will continue to meet and help on this journey of wellness and light ✨ When you travel the world you come back a different and changed person, you are reminded how small you are in the grand scheme of things and how Gods love and goodness is found no matter where you go 💜 Thank you again to all the souls that made this trip what it was 🙏🏼💜 A piece of your love and spirit will remain in our hearts forever 💜✨ #Speechless#SoGrateful#LifeByDesign
"15 mins Stretching Sequences" 💫💫 @roxannegan_ Thanks for sharing! 💜💜💜
This pretty much sums up my yoga practice these days- lying down stretches on my bed. It’s a good way to wind down and relax, while giving my body a nice and easy stretch.
Also it’s perfect for someone who is trying to gain flexibility in the hips, hamstrings and lower back. Having the legs against the wall not only makes stretching easier for those who are tight, it also helps allow the mind and body to relax, and stimulate blood circulation.
Hold each pose for 1min.
For all poses, do your best to keep your shoulders down, and the back of your neck long. Instead of using your arms to pull, use the deadweight of your upper body to do the work. Focus on deepening your breath to help you stretch.
My first interview on Yoga is published and I am so happy about spreading the word for Yin-Yoga, learnt from #Aayanayogaacademy . Check it out on this months issue @ https://issuu.com/travelnshop/docs/march_fh (PG- 46 & 47). Please share, like, comment your thoughts, feedback and encouragement.

Day 6 Fold twist🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻
These days, I share a lot of the back bend pose. I think is the time to make a forward bend. This pose is a forward twisting pose. It was taught by master @yokokikuchi_ks 😊🙏🏻 . After the backbend practice, twisting is super yummy😋. Let the spine return to the right position, and make it relax. I always wanna stay longer every time when I did this pose. Although I think that I want my practice to grow more, I have to be safe and observing my body.🤔 Yoga always talk about balance, just like the balance of yin and yang that Chinese people often emphasize, the body will be more harmonious if we know about it. It always reminds us that all things are balancing and rebalancing into a state of harmony.
Would you find this balance?🙃🙌🏻Happy day my friends💋

Life is so crazy. How fast it moves. I'm just glad this plastic circle came into my existance when it did. Lately everytime I feel frazzled it's always there to aid me in ssslllooooowwwwwinggg down!. I went to the dentist today and turned down free pain pills for my tooth pull. Which to someone who has always struggled with addiction to all the things, this was a breathtaking moment in my sobriety journey. It wasnt even a thought wether I wanted them or not. What used to be a monkey on my back has become a reassuring instinctive "no thank you"
Life is sew beautiful when we stop burying ourselves in our own thoughts. But I understand it's hard to turn them off. So often I have been tortured by mental illness and being bi polar that alot of time I would just sleep in my room and cry until I felt better. Sometimes this was days at a time. But with my plastic circle. I dont have to cry anymore... I can if I want to. But I usually only allow myself a moment of woe is me before I pick up my circle and my brain stops. Lifd stops. Reality stops. And then when in done. Ot resumes. But my thought process was jolted in a healthy way. Streamlined by my own want to feel better instead of break down. Forever grateful for this plastic circle every hour of every day.
If your struggling with mental illness. Pick up a flow toy. It will be one of the greatest thing you can do for yourself I promise. 🌱🌲⭐🦄

Goddess pose variation to recap on my path to yoga so far 🤗
15. It's the age I was when first introduced to yoga at school in Ivory Coast. At that age, it seemed like a mixture of stretching and relaxing (during savasana). I loved it! If only yoga was taught regularly at school!! 23. Then I tried group meditation for the first time in India later on at 23.
25. A long foot injury healed by lots of pranayama, meditation and visualisation at 25. This was also the start of my asana practice when I found the right yoga studio and instructors in Vietnam @zenithyogahanoi.
