За годы тренерства я встречала разных учеников и молодых и в возрасте и самая частая жалоба это боли в спине (бывает это связанно с травмами, а бывает нет) .
Так же Боли могут быть из за переизбытка упражнений или же наоборот из за слабых мышц спины.

Mayurasana - Pozice Páva
Nejen, že připomíná páva, ale také souvisí s jeho zvláštními schopnostmi. Kromě jeho krásného peří na ocase, páv je známý pro jeho schopnost jíst jedovaté hady, štíry a jiné plazy a hmyz. Jeho trávení je tak silné, že mění jed na výživu. Na jemné úrovni nám mocné „trávení“ umožňuje zvládnout více než jen čtyřchodovou večeři. Chamtivost, hněv, žárlivost, úzkost, nejistotu, smutek a duchovní neznalost - to jsou jemnější toxiny, které potřebují trávení nebo eliminaci. Energická podstata (prana) trávicího ohně vyvolává nadšení, odvahu, vitalitu, vůli vůle, sebevědomí a sebeovládání. Tento vnitřní oheň je síla transformace, nejen potravy na energii a teplo, ale i “obyčejného kovu instinktu” a omezeného sebeuvědomění ke “zlatu čistého vědomí”.

Mayurasana - Peacock pose
Not only resembles the peacock, it also invokes the peacock’s special powers. In addition to its signature tail feathers, the peacock is noted for its ability to eat poisonous snakes, scorpions, and other reptiles and insects. Its digestion is so strong that it turns poison into nourishment. On the subtle level, a powerful “digestion” allows us to handle more than just a four courses dinner. Greed, anger, jealousy, anxiety, insecurity, sadness, and spiritual ignorance—these are the more subtle toxins needing digestion or elimination. The energetic essence (prana) of the digestive fire invokes enthusiasm, courage, vitality, willpower, self-confidence, and self-mastery. This inner fire is the force of transformation, not only of food to energy and heat, but of the base metal of instinct and limited self-awareness to the gold of pure consciousness.

  • How do you define yourself? 💕

Before I fell in love with yoga, I was a ballroom dancer for almost ten years. Everyday after school, I would commute an hour one way to New York City to practice for 5-6 hours a day 6 times a week. I was certain that I would become a Professional Latin Dancer. At the time, dance was my life, and the language of my soul. I loved it so much that whenever I was asked to define myself, I would say “I‘m a dancer”.

Once I decided to quit dancing, I was lost and confused. Before, dance was my identity, but since I wasn’t a dancer anymore, I didn’t know who I was because I equated my identity with my profession.

It wasn’t until I returned to my yoga practice that I began to find new meaning in my life. Yoga helped me realize that I equated my identity with my profession. I am so much more than a dancer, writer, yoga teacher… 
I am love
I am compassion
I am forgiveness
☄︎
Our identity is who we ARE not what we DO. . It shouldn’t define us because our professions, hobbies, relationships can change in a blink of eye. But no matter what life throws our way, the essence of who we are is always constant 💗

  • stay committed to your vision ⚡️ .

Two years ago I was at one of my lowest points, ever. But I had this vision. I had this vision of being this girl who woke up every morning feeling strong and like she could do anything she set her mind too. I had this vision, and a whole list of goals to go along with it. Last night I for sure ugly cried, because I’m closer than I’ve ever been to that vision 😭 .

I think sometimes we forget that the best things really do take time, AND hella commitment. Do not get discouraged if you’re still working towards that vision 3 months, or 3 years later. It took me 2 frickin years to be able to live my dream life, trust me it didn’t happen over night 🤓. Listen, you’ve got one chance at this life. Don’t you dare stop chasing that vision!! It’s going to get hard, it’s going to feel impossible, I know. But one day you’ll wake up and realize you got there, and it’ll be the best feeling you’ve ever known💥 .

Good morning!
This is my late post for week 3 #IGYogaStudio

I apologize to you for not being able to post before, but here we go!
Today is all about Spine Flexibility!
We all know how important is to help a healthy spine - it is our spine that keeps UP!
I don’t have a flexible spine - opposite - I have a mild version of a condition called flat back, and I need lots of warm up and DAILY practice to win a bit of space going backwards. .
VIDEO 1 🎥
PARIVRTTA SUKHASANA - 
I do this one with my @infinitystrap to make it more intense, my hand one day will go to my knee! 😊
Remember: lower back has a small range of move - you need to concentrate the opening on the thoracic spine.
MULABHANDASA CRUNCHES 
This looks like a mild bend, but done in sequence can release as much energy as intense bend 
SASANGASANA
Fab pose to stretch the thoracic 
PUPPY POSE
One of best heart openers, shoulder opener and creates a fab extension.

DownDog ↔️ Updog Stretches 
and Twists 
They feel amazingly good!

BHUJANGASANA series
All backbending starts HERE.
It is a posture than you can practice EVERYDAY. I do. I did through my recovery. .

MARICHYASANA D
Twists are fundamental for gaining flexibility on the spine. 
As well as forward Folds, that is why I finished with a Paschimo.
On Ashtanga series, we will do a vinyasa after that, which will stretch the spine.
If you don’t practice the series, do a paschimo after any intense twist.

USTRASANA 
The first backbend we fall in love, intense and one of my favs heart openers.

SETU BANDHA SARVANGASANA
Another one that opens the path to strong legs and creates space for the spine, teaching you distribute the weight, preparing you for ↔️
URDHVA DANHURASANA.
A fab, fab posture, this one will take you to more intense bends such Kapo, Forearm Wheel, etc.
Always think of bringing the curve away from and decompressing away the lower back.
PRACTICE SAFELY.
If the muscles around the spine are not strong and you are hiperflexible, it is very easy to injure yourself.
Remember that flexibility and strength have to grow together.

Something I read that recently fascinated me about backbends was that they can create the space to take fuller breaths into your diaphragm. I’ve been interested in learning more about diaphragmatic breathing and I often teach it in my classes because it has transformed the way I think about core function. I watch my baby and Leo breathe this way naturally, and it’s crazy to think that as we get older and with the accumulation of stress, we forget how to breathe. Taking shallow chest breaths can disrupt the core unit from functioning the way that it should, as well as prevent our nervous system from being in a relaxed state.
My favorite way of tuning in to make sure I’m diaphragmatic breathing is to breathe into the sides of my waist (almost upper back) and to effortlessly exhale out fully. There will be a slight belly raise, but it’s not a belly breath. It was taught to me by my pelvic floor therapist when I was learning to relax my pelvic floor from being too tight. Try it for yourself, imagine breathing into all directions of your rib cage (sideways, back and up) by placing your fingers to the sides of your ribs and notice your fingers expand out to the side and exhale your breath fully

Mayurasana - Pozice Páva
Nejen, že připomíná páva, ale také souvisí s jeho zvláštními schopnostmi. Kromě jeho krásného peří na ocase, páv je známý pro jeho schopnost jíst jedovaté hady, štíry a jiné plazy a hmyz. Jeho trávení je tak silné, že mění jed na výživu. Na jemné úrovni nám mocné „trávení“ umožňuje zvládnout více než jen čtyřchodovou večeři. Chamtivost, hněv, žárlivost, úzkost, nejistotu, smutek a duchovní neznalost - to jsou jemnější toxiny, které potřebují trávení nebo eliminaci. Energická podstata (prana) trávicího ohně vyvolává nadšení, odvahu, vitalitu, vůli vůle, sebevědomí a sebeovládání. Tento vnitřní oheň je síla transformace, nejen potravy na energii a teplo, ale i “obyčejného kovu instinktu” a omezeného sebeuvědomění ke “zlatu čistého vědomí”.

Mayurasana - Peacock pose
Not only resembles the peacock, it also invokes the peacock’s special powers. In addition to its signature tail feathers, the peacock is noted for its ability to eat poisonous snakes, scorpions, and other reptiles and insects. Its digestion is so strong that it turns poison into nourishment. On the subtle level, a powerful “digestion” allows us to handle more than just a four courses dinner. Greed, anger, jealousy, anxiety, insecurity, sadness, and spiritual ignorance—these are the more subtle toxins needing digestion or elimination. The energetic essence (prana) of the digestive fire invokes enthusiasm, courage, vitality, willpower, self-confidence, and self-mastery. This inner fire is the force of transformation, not only of food to energy and heat, but of the base metal of instinct and limited self-awareness to the gold of pure consciousness.

  • I am a lover of all movements, and while I love to find my own inner expression in my regular yoga practice, I am just as fond of being challenged out of my comfort zones and connecting through movement with other Yogis 🤸🏽‍♀️🧘‍♂️
