Last night I had a dream where I was in a familiar place. A place I’ve been in a dream before. And the last time I was there I left some things behind. A bunch of things actually. Nothing super important. Most of the things were in colors that I didn’t quite like, or random nick nacks that I didn’t need. Some of the things were still in packaging, never opened. I guess I left it all there for a reason. But this visit I came with a big tote bag and started stuffing the bag with all the stuff. Multiple times I placed the bag down and told myself to just leave it, but then I’d pick it back up again, grabbing more stuff. This continued for quite some time... and the dream never came to a resolution. I woke up before I decided wether to leave or take the items.
I feel like the dream is about me holding on to something. Something that I already decided to leave behind, but now I circled back to it. Not sure why. I need to meditate and reflect on this message deeper.

IS THERE SOMETHING LIKE DESTINY & DOES LOVE REALLY EXIST?
This morning I had such a great conversation while having delicious breakfast in copenhagen.
My friend said love is a chemical reaction, a feeling that comes and goes and everything that happens happens because YOU made that choice.
You decide if you want to be with someone. If it’s worth, you fight for that person to build and continue being in that relationship.
In her opinion there is no destiny. Life is a reflection of choices you make.
I like that. I support the idea that you have to work for your dreams and not sitting on the couch waiting for something good to happen.
It’s your way of thinking, your behavior and the actions you take that are leading to a good life.
But honestly I do believe in energy, in destiny and I do believe in love.
Falling in love is beautiful. And of course it comes and goes as all emotions do. But I think real love is more than just butterflies in the belly. It’s more than feeling attracted to someone sexually or physically.
Love is feeling home. Love is friendship. Love is taking care of each other without any expectations. Without losing respect of each other and not giving up, even in hard times. And even after years.
But is this a choice? A feeling? An emotion? How can it last for a lifetime if it’s an emotion that comes and goes?
Stop smalltalking so much. Have deep conversations. Feel. Breath. Be present. Life is beautiful.
What is love? Do you believe in destiny?

LISTENING TO THE HEART'S CALLING 💓
A couple of days ago, I taught my very first #yoga class at Wonderland Healing Center, in the jungly heart of #kohphanhan
Yes, you read that right... Alice in Wonderland! Oh Universe, you perfect poet 😍
As I was teaching, I was blessed with an experience that felt like a déjà vu, but more visceral than usual ... very blissful (and I was buzzing for HOURS afterwards)
My heart was WIDE open and I felt so much love pouring from my essence to all in the room, as I shared the teachings
Time FLEW and the whole experience was #effortless
Not to say that it was "perfect" ... far from it! WOW did teaching show me the importance of remaining the perennial student and how much I've yet to embody and live the depths of the practice
FROM THIS MOMENT ON, I COMMIT TO LIVING IN FULL ALIGNMENT WITH MY HIGHEST COGNITIONS & SHARING MY PRESENCE FROM A PLACE OF PURE-HEARTED DEVOTION & SERVICE, AS MY OFFERING TO THE DIVINE 🕉️
I've been resisting this calling for YEARS, three to be precise, that's when I completed my first #ttc ... but I wasn't ready, something in my heart hadn't yet clicked into place
The seed was germinating though. I'd get THE FEELS sometimes ... a knowing that something seriously SACRED and #multidimensional was happening with this yoga stuff
... that the rabbit hole goes SO MUCH deeper than I ever DARED imagine is possible
... THAT IT GOES ALL THE WAY!
And since the class, I've been (literally) crying with joy at the beauty and purity of this practice ... so humbled to be a servant of Spirit, as the Completeness dances through us in this divine #leela

The virtue of #asteya , is more than not physically stealing from others — it includes avoiding stealing from ourselves and others in subtle ways. •
What does that look like? •
Hoarding of materials + mindless consumption of natural resources is stealing from those who are in need ((in developing nations or within our own)) and from the future generations.
Taking another person’s ideas + creative works must also be avoided. •
Most importantly in the virtue of asteya is in honouring the most valuable non-renewable resource —time. Honour your time + the time of others. Being late is the thief of time and so is procrastination the thief of your own time.
Asteya also challenges us to find balance in our discipline. Do not excessively withhold from others or yourself. Withholding from yourself in excess is robbing yourself from a joyful life, as is excessive withholding from others.
Practicing asteya has lead me to my New Year's resolution to only purchase pre-owned clothing in 2020. [I have yet to purchase anything since before Christmas —those who know me, know how big of a deal that is!] How can you work on this virtue this year?

R E G U L A R I T Y: Life is a sadhana, and therefore as all good yogis know, the key to maintaining a balanced life is regularity. Regularity of mealtimes, getting up and going to sleep and regularity of spiritual practice. It’s the key to stability and inner peace.
Good morning, happy Monday! 🤩, I’ve just completed my last “Dry” January weekend (nearly caved) and I’ve got to be honest I didn’t expect it to feel this good.
I’ve particularly enjoyed having so much more energy especially at this time of the year! ⚡️if you’re curious about it, it’s worth a try, feel empowered to make changes (even if it just for one weekend) and of course give the body a chance to rest & reset... 😜❤️ •
On that note I’ve also loved ramping up the heat in our level 2/3 yoga classes. Finding that zing, motivation and uplifting our bodies, mind and soul! Back on the mat this morning restart and reenergise at 9:45am.
You deserve to move on.You deserve to make more room for the people who love you and lift you up.
The ones who support you, celebrate you, motivate you to do better. The ones who would drop everything to be by your side when you need them.
You deserve to clear darkness from your heart to create space for someone who will light it up.

In our 200 hour training, you will learn the power of adjusting to correct misalignment, changing your own practice as a student and teacher.
We’ve got another eventful week with the build this week as we put the steel in to support the new stairs into the new reception area. As a result, the stairs up to studio 2 will be closed this week and we’ll be rerouting you via the first floor. We’ve got lots of people to help and signs up and it’s only a small diversion, so we’ll be running most classes as usual. We have cancelled the toddler and mum and baby class though, just for their safety, and there are 1/2 other classes cancelled where we think the work might be a bit noisier than we’d like, such as yin yoga at 1.45pm today. For approx the 8000th time since the build started, I want to thank you all for bearing with us. We know it’s been a long one. We really are nearly there now though. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼

Pistol Squats are part of the standing balancing series Yogi Strength series and are in the menu this week.
This posture will require a warm up to prep your ankle mobility, hamstrings length & hip flexor strength. .
This transition from warrior 3 ➡️ standing split ➡️ to pistol squat with the blocks is a great way to build your pistol squat strength, progress to a free standing version and work on your ankle mobility.

What a summery weekend we've had in Auckland. Full of activities on the Auckland waterfront, ice-cream, swims, fish and chips at the beach and trying out @flourishyoganz for their amazing candlelit restorative yoga and meditation class. What a great way to start a 4-day week✨
In meiner Yogastunde letzten Freitag, kam eine Teilnehmerin zu mir und bedankte sich. Sie ist sehr wissbegierig und hat viele Fragen, die ich Ihr immer wieder gern beantworte.
Sie sagte, sie findet es toll das ich mein Wissen teile und wenn ich habe auch mal ein thematisch passendes Buch dazu mitbringe.
Ich war erstaunt und gleichzeitig ergriffen.
Zum einen, da es für mich selbstverständlich ist, dass, was ich weiß auch weiterzugeben. Wo ich doch selbst immer wieder nach Antworten suche.
Zum anderen habe ich wohl für mich verstanden, dass es eine so große Bereicherung ist, etwas zu tun ohne eine Gegenleistung zu erwarten. Und gleichzeitig genau das zu bekommen.
Denn der Dank den Sie mir entgegengebracht hat, war mir so viel Wert.

Ma pratique est différente, accompagnée de ma petite lune, mon acolyte qui participe entièrement à mes postures et à cette vitalité. C’est très intéressant et les challenges sont encore meilleurs.
Je reçois beaucoup d’amour et de bienveillance, je ressens vos présences chaleureuses alors même que je ne vous voit plus au quotidien.
Je me sens chanceuse que tout se passe bien et je pense à toutes les femmes autour de moi et dans le monde qui doivent opérer une force incommensurable en elle pour réaliser leurs projets.
A celles qui se battent contre la pression sociale car elle ne veulent pas d’enfants ou s’installer et qui subissent les jugements.
A celles qui ont choisi un mode de vie qui ne correspond pas à la masse.
A celles qui souhaitent des enfants et qui font face à un corps boudeur.
A celles qui doivent lutter contre une maladie pour vivre.
A celles qui vivent des moments extrêmement douloureux et qui ne montre rien.
A celles qui sont parties et dont on se souvient.
A toutes les courageuses, les battantes, les multitâches, les angoissées, les chialeuses, les féministes, les colorées, les lutteuses, les princesses et les Valkyries...

CHILDS POSE - BALASANA 🕉
This wonderful resting pose is at your disposal - so use it!
If at any point during your yoga class you feel the body needs to rest then take child’s pose. Use it in the sun salutation sequence instead of down dog if you’re on a low energy day. And don’t worry about what everyone else is doing, listen to your own body and modify your practice accordingly, your teacher will know why you have come into child’s and hopefully shouldn’t question it! Haha
To enter child’s, come to a kneeling position and ground the hips towards the heels. Bring the torso and head towards the thighs and floor. If the head doesn’t quite touch the floor place a block under the forehead. Hands can be placed stretched out in front with shoulders engaged or by the feet for an even more restorative feel. Breath deeply into the back side of the body. 🕉

the snake spirit represents spiritual renewal ~ the underworld, or "inner world" ~ rebirth ~ transformation ~ immortality ~ medicine ~ healing ~ sexuality ~ embodiment .
as a snake sheds its skin, so too can we can shed our illusions and limitations, and use our vitality to achieve wholeness.
i am still processing. i have no words ~ except for gratitude, forgiveness + heart bursts of love.
