Human connections are something that I crave. It’s a powerful moment when you meet someone and connect on a deeper and more profound level. I try to always be open to connection, available to intentionally listen and dedicated to offer help in whatever form someone needs 💛 
I have met some insane humans and I’ve always found that our connection comes from genuine openness. Anyone else experience this?

The great scholar lived in extreme deprivation with Buddha seeking enlightenment only to part ways for several years.  The latter returned 6 years later and shared his realizations with Koundinya who in turn shared his teachings.

This pose is often called straight leg side crow but now that you’ve heard the a small purpose behind the pose name perhaps you’ll appreciate it even more!

  • Let’s talk about touch—that is, the philosophy, ethics, and practice of manual adjustment.

Touch can inform, reinforce, protect, and show compassion. But it can just as easily cause bodily harm or trigger emotional anguish. Touch is important, but it demands a clear appreciation of a student-teacher power dynamic that very easily enables predation.

I approach adjustments from a position of affirmative consent, but even then I edit the way in which I use my body as a man.
.
In the last few years, narrative accounts, photographs and videos of plainly inappropriate or demeaning adjustments and touch (assault) by some of the world’s most renowned teachers have surfaced. (@yogawithmabel shared a video this week showing some of the most violent, mind-blowing adjustments by BKS Iyengar, for example. That video was reported, for some reason, and was removed from Instagram.)
.
No tradition has proven immune from this rot, but some have done a better job than others at rooting it out.
.
I get it: it’s hard to relate your positive, life-changing experience with accounts of inappropriate touch or assault (depending on the teacher we’re talking about). But to continue venerating a (fill in the blank, depending on the teacher: rapist, pervert, skeeze ball, sadist) while others try to heal is ill-considered.

The aim of the asana practice is to achieve a balance between the state of 'sthira' or steadiness and 'sukha' or ease. When practiced the right way, asana is meant to keep the body and mind in ease, even in the most advanced posture. .
Holding the posture for a longer period of time is the pathway to achieving this state of equilibrium and the higher purpose of the asana practice is to help the practitioner sit in the seated posture - Siddhasana for meditation for a longer duration. A regular asana practice, also helps build immense strength - physically and emotionally.

For me, this has been the hardest part and something I've had a chance to practice during my ATTC where we had to hold each asana, sometimes for 5 minutes, that helped me realise the true benefits of a regular asana practice.#sivananda

I genuinely can’t believe this is happening, this is an absolute dream come true. I’ve been practising consistently for a few years now but it always seemed so far out of reach (mainly for financial reasons).
.
But I’m going! I’m enrolling at @greenyogainternational RYS 200 hour yoga teacher training program in Mallorca and I’ve never been more excited in my life.
.
I’m hoping to document some of my journey on my YouTube channel so look out for that if you are interested 💛🌼.

"What does it take for us to show up in integrity and congruence to another woman we care for and support?

The woman who comes to us in her most vulnerable, most impressionable, and often most wounded state?

It requires us to journey inwards.

A journey not centred around gaining more external accomplishments to compensate and compete for worthiness, but a journey that dives courageously into the inner landscape, the deeply rooted feminine wounds that prevent true women-centred service in the name of healing and rising.

Let me reiterate. This does not ask women to yet again achieve “perfection” at loving herself.

There is no such thing, and this is ultimately the point.

The point is that when we show up in service of other women in the lifelong process of confronting our own shadow in a way that teaches us to honour ourselves as perfectly imperfect creatures that have been brainwashed by a patriarchal society to believe we are not enough, we are shifting things at base level.

When we’re able to look another sister in the eye in her hardest, most vulnerable moments and unwaveringly proclaim her as the powerful woman she is, because WE have excavated our own shame, unravelled our own mother wound, and awakened to our own feminine power, that is to be of ACTUAL service."

I sware I hear his stories with out verbal communication. Life before his body became a locked jail.His eyes staring deep into mine I wish I could give him a new body. 
I wonder he was Before neurologically, his body decided to become a thunderstorm of irregular signals.Devilish journey of #entrapment #nonverbal he's so young 
We have had a few #milestones. Today he responded more! He moved his leg on command!

With instinctual touch,& #acknowledgement that I could see, hear him,regulate his breathing,get his hands to stop twitching...He let go!Let me Guide him.  He moved His leg 2x. His Care takers were shocked! He grabs the therapy balls I can be he's trying to move with the group.

Their is more to healing than drugs and stagnation of patterned medical philosophy.#empathetic #heart
#connection listening with out words. That's what gave him permission to believe he could tell his body to stop being broken.  Even in #micromovements 
I can hear him he was upset to see me leave. He got a few moments ,had control.

  • 💜 Hoy quiero compartirte una enseñanza que llegó a mi cuando empecé a indagar en lo que era la “felicidad”.
Dice así:

La felicidad y el sufrimiento son contrarios. Por lo tanto, lo que es causa de felicidad verdadera, no podria producir sufrimiento. 
Déja de leer un instante y párate a pensarlo. Parece lógico, ¿no? Lo más interesante es cuando empiezas a pensar en cómo esto se aplica a tu vida diaria. 
Piensa: estás en el sofá, con una infusión, una mantita, afuera está lloviendo, y tienes una tableta de chocolate con trozos de almendra en la mano. Y te sientes feliz, ¿verdad?
Ahora imagina que te digan que ya no puedes salir porque va a llover así un mes, que te pasas comiendo demasiado chocolate hasta que te duela la barriga, y que mires series hasta que te duelen los ojos y la cabeza.

En nada, hemos pasado de felicidad a frustración, malestar, sufrimiento.

Los budistas concluyen que entonces ninguna cosa en el mundo material puedes ser fuente de felicidad pura, porque en cualquier exceso puede llegar a producirte sufrimiento. A veces, hasta con las circunstancias perfectas, no te sientes feliz.

Y es que la verdadera felicidad sólo puede emanar de dentro. No eres tu sino tu mente la que vive tu vida. La única forma de sentirse feliz es adiestrando tu mente a ser tu amiga. A visitarla, a domarla como un cachorrito a enfocarse en donde tú quieras. 
Meditando adiestras tu mente a estar en paz, y entonces, pase lo que pase en tu entorno, dejas de ser tan vulnerable. 
La paz, esa es la nueva felicidad.

  • 💜 Hoy quiero compartirte una enseñanza que llegó a mi cuando empecé a indagar en lo que era la “felicidad”.
    Dice así:

    La felicidad y el sufrimiento son contrarios. Por lo tanto, lo que es causa de felicidad verdadera, no podria producir sufrimiento.
    Déja de leer un instante y párate a pensarlo. Parece lógico, ¿no? Lo más interesante es cuando empiezas a pensar en cómo esto se aplica a tu vida diaria.
    Piensa: estás en el sofá, con una infusión, una mantita, afuera está lloviendo, y tienes una tableta de chocolate con trozos de almendra en la mano. Y te sientes feliz, ¿verdad?
    Ahora imagina que te digan que ya no puedes salir porque va a llover así un mes, que te pasas comiendo demasiado chocolate hasta que te duela la barriga, y que mires series hasta que te duelen los ojos y la cabeza.

    En nada, hemos pasado de felicidad a frustración, malestar, sufrimiento.

    Los budistas concluyen que entonces ninguna cosa en el mundo material puedes ser fuente de felicidad pura, porque en cualquier exceso puede llegar a producirte sufrimiento. A veces, hasta con las circunstancias perfectas, no te sientes feliz.

    Y es que la verdadera felicidad sólo puede emanar de dentro. No eres tu sino tu mente la que vive tu vida. La única forma de sentirse feliz es adiestrando tu mente a ser tu amiga. A visitarla, a domarla como un cachorrito a enfocarse en donde tú quieras.
    Meditando adiestras tu mente a estar en paz, y entonces, pase lo que pase en tu entorno, dejas de ser tan vulnerable.
    La paz, esa es la nueva felicidad.

  • Pra quem não sabe, está foi a minha professora no curso de yoga: @vinahpereira_ , fundadora do @institutobaianodeyoga. Eu poderia falar do currículo dela, mas não caberia aqui e seria confuso e talvez entediante pra quem não é da área... Vou dizer, portanto, o que ela representa pra mim: Vinah é abraço acolhedor, daqueles que vc não quer mais largar; é uma fonte imensa de sabedoria e experiências vividas que são partilhadas e trazem sempre um aprendizado; é uma yogini  super disciplinada e dedicada; uma mulher batalhadora, um exemplo de coragem e força; uma professora amorosa, que oferece o colo quando os alunos mais precisam, mas que na hora que é necessário, também sabe dar sermão. A agradeço imensamente por ter me guiado tão sabiamente no curso de yoga, por todos os conselhos, todo o carinho e comprometimento. 💕

Мы попросили рассказать о том, что привело к гамакам, о курсах и планах на будущее.⤵️ "До знакомства с #airyoga я вела йогу для начинающих, детскую и для беременных.

В одном из йога клубов повесили гамаки, и мне захотелось попробовать.

Помню свои самые первые ощущения - необычайная легкость. 
Сходила на несколько занятий и поняла что хочу учиться!

В 2015 году прошла свой первый Базовый курс #airyogalevel1 в Академии,  у Натальи Парфеновой @natali_rousse.

Курс и преподаватели открыли дорогу в мир воздушной йоги. 
И с тех пор я постоянно учусь.

Это были:
🔹️«Семейная и перинатальная йога»,
🔹️«Аiryoga perinatal & airyoga postnatal»
🔹️"Основы йогатерапии позвоночника в работе с йога-гамаком".
🔹️"Межпозвонковые грыжи и гамак".
🔹️«Основы анатомии, физиологии, биомеханики в работе с йога-гамаком». И замечатльные преподаватели -  Оксана Шевченко, @oxshevch  Любовь Каган @kaganliubov и другие.

Благодарю своих учителей за поддержку, качественное и доступное обучение!❤ В планах пройти еще много курсов, но в приоритете: #airyogalevel2, #Airfitness Здоровая спина и Фитнес в гамаках.

За эти 4 года гамак стал верным помощником и надежным другом, который помогает укрепить мышцы тела, развить силу, выносливость, гибкость. Он настолько многофункционален, что подходит всем. Очень люблю перевернутые асаны и релаксацию в гамаке.

Сейчас у меня свой уютный зал, оборудованный гамаками из нашей школы.

Большое спасибо за качественную подачу информацию и полезные практические курсы.

  • Sometimes your body tells you you need a little rest, so last week I had to stay at home 🤧🤒 but luckily I am feeling much better and after a very successful first open house at @samudrayogaandmore I will be back teaching this week 🙏🏼🤗 I hope you will join me this week working on balance and binding 🤸🏽‍♀️👌 .

  • A year ago today I registered for Yoga School @yogahouseboerne and started my teacher training journey. It was one of the most amazing experiences of my life! I gained so much knowledge and deeped my own practice. Although my studio in Utopia isn't where I hoped it would be in attendance, I will not give up my dream of providing a place of peace, meditation, breath, yoga practice and healing. I'm so grateful to have my certification and to have followed a dream I had for so long. 
I'm brainstorming new ways to share yoga's inner utopia with yall!
