Say what you will about weather that’s hitting -40 with windchill, but I love that the mud is too cold to get the car dirty, and you can’t beat the frosty trees and icy sky. Give me this over mucky and low digit temperatures any day 😁 #NoMoneyForMyDetailer

🍦WE HAVE EXCITING NEWS VILLAGERS!🍦 We’re thrilled to announce that Village Ice Cream will be expanding to a fourth location *drumroll please*....... BRIDGELAND! We will be opening in late 2020 and we can't wait to serve you in this beautiful, vibrant neighbourhood. Located right across from Murdoch Park, and with ample street parking, you know you will have plenty of opportunities to enjoy amazing views of our downtown and hang with your crew in one of Calgary’s most beautiful parks all while enjoying a scoop (or two!) of Village Ice Cream. We will be joining @unacalgary and @philandseb in a brand new building built by @rndsqr_ . A special shout out to @fort.architecture for designing a beautiful space for us and to @platform_projects for all of our branding. We look forward to being part of the Bridgeland community! #villageicecream
Tried something new today from @cococalgary and I loved it!
I got the Matcha Milk tea with pearls and cheese foam and it was amazing! I loved the bit of salty flavour that the cheese foam added, it went really well with the matcha 👌🏼 This would definitely be a drink that I would order again 😍

Part of the reason why I love what I do, is that when I go to help with an estate, I get to meet the people that grew up around the items that were purchased by their parents. In the photos you will notice the lamps that I acquired from the family estate. They proudly showed me photos of their family living their lives around these 1950s lamps...
These days had been sad. People very close to me and that I care about so much are going trough a tough time.
My brother, my friend Heather, amazing people in our community... all of these have had me thinking on how fragile and finite life is and even how unfair, sometimes. I keep asking myself why without finding a reasonable answer.
The urge of fixing and doing something to change the situation arises in me and then the though that this is beyond my power or anyone’s power gets me frustrated and then I surrender into the sadness.
Sadness is scary, I feel like If I allow myself to feel it for too long I won’t be able to get out of it. And don’t get me wrong, I cry a lot! And I’m ok with it but they are usually tears of frustration or exhaustion. •
Sadness is different, is dark, and scary and I rarely allow myself to feel it. However,
When things like these are happening there is not other option than allow it to be with me, and I let it show me what I need to see.
My word for 2020 was GRACE because I felt I needed more of it In my life. I think this is the first lesson and the good news is that I was able to find it.
I prayed, for the first time in a loooong time, I prayed from my heart and I felt it, I felt my energy and power coming out of me and going to my brother wherever he is, to Heather, to Evelyn and all of those who are going trough a lot. •
I have enjoyed every single smile from my children, every client interaction, every coffee or meal my hubby makes for me, every creation my hands made, and even took time out of crazy busy days to watch a movie that had been in repeat at my house for a while.
Petter Rabbit🐰♥️ If you have a chance these week watch it and specially notice the gesture these bunnies do when they apologize. I strongly believe we all should implement this practice in our human lives. We have decided to do it in our family from now on.
If you are going trough a lot know that I feel you and love you. I send you all my strength and I pray for you!♥️

|| Capes & Cappucinno's || On Saturday nights we drink coffee ... and again on Sunday Mornings. What are your weekend plans? I've been trying my best to cut out sugary drinks this month. I love my fancy lattes, but lately I have been substituting it for @withinusnatural coconut creamer! To read more of my favourites check out the link in my bio!
