  • We are very #PROUD to have @alpha.coffee as our friends and dedicated #supporters at #VetEx. They are one of our VIP #sponsors for the #coloradowildwomen #GALA this weekend. See more about their amazing #coffee brand that also #promotes that #warrior #lifestyle we are all about. AND, if you want to follow their #lead and #sponsor a VIP table, you are in luck—a few left! On Sept. 11, 2010 @alpha.coffee was co-founded by LTC(R) Carl Churchill, a #combat #veteran with 21 years of service as both an #enlisted soldier and #officer, and his wife Lori Churchill, a #military #spouse and #coffee lover. The company started out as Lock-n-Load Java, selling exclusively over the web. In 2016, the company rebranded to #Alpha #Coffee, selling both online and via other retailers. In 2017, Alpha opened their #first coffee shop, staying close to home with their first location at the mouth of #Big #Cottonwood #Canyon in Cottonwood Heights, Utah. From the start, Carl and Lori wanted to create a different kind of company guided by the principles they lived by. —> Awesome Coffee • Be A Warrior •

  • Many of our #longtime followers and #supporters know Nick, our Executive Director and #cofounder of #VetEx • But, do you know Nick’s background? Did you know that he was an U.S. Army Ranger, serving on multiple international deployments in the early 90’s. OR, that he is a #diehard @patriots fan, and @tombrady fan (sorry Broncos). Nick was born and raised in #Massachusetts. Read more below. And, come on out and meet Nick at the Carbondale Gala (LINK IN BIO) •

Nick served 5 years as a U.S. Army Ranger with the 75th Ranger Regiment. He was involved with numerous national and international #deployments. After leaving the military in 1995, Nick received a #Recreation Management degree from the University of #Vermont and has worked numerous #outdoor industry jobs for the last twenty years to include Park Ranger, Biological Technician, Trail Crew Boss, Wilderness Guide, Field Staff, and Field Director. Nick has a great deal of experience leading groups of people #outside. He uses this experience to design and create innovative #trips and #expeditions using a very talented volunteer staff of #veteran #leaders. Nick is #committed to the community that is generated on VetEx’s trips and expeditions. He was #recognized as 2014 National Geographic Adventurer of the Year for creating an outdoor community that extends back home with #VetEx vets.
